The Ned Kelly armor.

It looks like a great helm and curaiss, which were both items used in Europe during the Medieval ages. Perhaps European nations retained heavy armor for their militaries after the invention of gunpowder weapons?

It's a Europa Regina, they were a somewhat common form of map of Europe in the Middle-Ages meant to show Europe as a single person, that of a Queen.

It's done with Iberia North and Russia South as a result of the use of a derivation of the T and O scheme, which was centered on Jerusalem and showed the world that way.
