(This is a trailer for a TL I might do someday. As most of my trailers have music in them, I think this song would be good, especially since it was a favorite of the subject. For those curious it was originally written by Leonard Blakeslee, with some alterations by Leonard Cohen and others. (I think Pete Seeger might be a good choice to perform the music as he likely knew the subject...))
*Archival footage of FDR Administration plays. One person in each bit of footage is Henry A. Wallace* I was at FDR's side on the night before he died He said, "One world must come out of World War Two. Yankee, Russian, Black or Tan, oh, a man is just a man. *Shot of Wallace, Garner and Truman together, on the way to FDR's funeral* "We're all brothers, and we're only passing through." *Thud. Blackout.* *Headline: "WALLACE RESIGNS"* *Studio Card. Music Resumes* *Wallace shown walking out of the Commerce Building, with a briefcase in hand* I saw Adam leave the garden, with an apple in his hand, I said, "Now you're out, what are you gonna do?" *Wallace working on his farm at Farvue* "Plant my crops and pray for rain, *Shot of "Wallace's Farmer" magazine, article entitled "A Word Personal". Other magazines are below* Maybe raise a little Cain. I'm an orphan now and only passing through." *Now the changes...Shot of a farm labeled: "Henry A. Wallace Experimental Farm, EPCOT."* Passing through, Passing through, *Shot of buildings in cities with rooftop gardens* Sometimes happy, sometimes blue, *Shot of Chicago Tribune: "DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN". Below, New York Times: "DEWEY ELECTED"* Glad that I ran into you, *Shot of Wallace, with a cane, shaking hands with JFK, who is presenting him with a medal* Tell the people that you saw me passing through. *Shot of Senator Glen Taylor being arrested by Birmingham police* I saw Jesus on the cross, on that hill called Calvary, *Shot of a white mob burning Wallace pictures* "Do you hate mankind for what they done to you?" *Shot of Wallace speaking to a group of African-American farmers, possibly at Tuskegee Institute* He said, "Talk of love, not hate, *Shot of Wallace examining a Southern field* Things to do, it's getting late I've so little time and only passing through." *Shot of a farmhouse, mural of an African-American farm family on the side* Passing through, Passing through, *Shot of Army troops guarding a college entrance* Sometimes happy, sometimes blue, *Shot of Robert New speaking to a mixed audience, SC and US flags behind him* Glad that I ran into you, *Rural basketball team, 1970's. Both blacks and whites are on the team.* Tell the people that you saw me passing through. *Wallace is in Mexico, talking to Norman Borlaug* I shivered with George Washington, one night at Valley Forge, *Trekking through the jungle of Costa Rica*"Why do the soldiers freeze here like they do?" *Wallace reading a headline, sitting in Africa: "US to revoke Wallace's passport?"* He said, "Men will suffer, fight, even die for what is right. *Wallace, looking out over the hills of Israel* Even though they know they're only passing through." *Fields overseas, abounding with fruit and crops* Passing through, Passing through, Sometimes happy, sometimes blue, Glad that I ran into you, Tell the people that you saw me passing through. *Shot of Wallace, making a speech* Wallace: No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God. Passing through, Passing through, Sometimes happy, sometimes blue, Glad that I ran into you, Tell the people that you saw me passing through. PLOW by Orville_Third Coming soon

That seems rather thoughtful! On a very unrelated note, it popped into my mind, what if Henry Wallace got combined with William Wallace as portrayed in Braveheart? |

No Spanish Civil War in 1936
I'd try to make one about my TL The Legacy of the Glorious, but there is not much epic beyond what the Tercios Especiales do (well, maybe there will be in the future), so I'm doing one about Dr Strangelove's story.
Note: Writing in italics is lettering, writing in bold is voice over, bold italics is lettering + voice over. __________________________________________________ ___ (White writing over black background) July 1936. The Spanish Army rises against the Republican government. After three years of fighting, the rebels, led by Francisco Franco, entered Madrid and won the war. (Photography of Franco, while the "En el día de hoy" radio speech is heard on the background. Franco's photo fades into black.) What if that did not happen? What if Franco remained loyal to the government? (A new photograph of Franco, but this time next to President Azaña and saluting the Republican flag) Universal Pictures Iberia in collaboration with RTVE & Gobierno de España (Jump to fighting in the French countryside between Spanish, British and French tanks on one side and German tanks on the other) What if Spain became an Ally in World War II?(Several planes bombard the Italian port of Tarento) What if the greatest threat to the modern world also arrived to Spain? (Shot of the Nazi flag flying over a slightly ruined Congreso de los Diputados while the Wehrmacht marches in front of it) (Desperate fighting in the Andorran snows) (Gaitas de Durruti shooting their missiles) (Planes fighting over the Pyrenees) (Brutal fighting within the ruins of Zaragoza. A tank shell is shot and explodes next to the camera. Everything goes black) No Spanish Civil War Part I: Fall Schwartz April 14th 2031 in every cinema
