Well, I'm probably never going to complete this, so here it is.

The attached is a map in a world where Queen Isabella marries the Portuguese guy instead, so Aragon stays independent in a way that Portugal does in OTL. They eventually become explorers just like the Portuguese in OTL. However, since they don't have a coast with the Atlantic Ocean, they make a deal with the Moroccans for a thin strip of land going through North Africa that allows them to get to the Atlantic Ocean. This map was originally going to detail that strip of land, with forts, oases, cities, and other stuff, but I just got bored.

I could see them allowing them to build a highway on which they would have use to but splitting their nation in half??? Never. Why not just buy a port on the atlantic?

I would imagine that - given Nilats mentions a string of forts protecting the strip - that the Moroccans will get majorly paranoid about Aragonese politics and their land...

700 CE mapgame in 1089 CE.

Much of it may seem ASB but (most of) it isn't once you know the chain of events that led to it.

I suppose it would be more like a highway. The Moroccans would cross the strip of land freely. They just won't build cities and stuff on it.

A port, huh? Why do I never think of the simplest things?

Yeah, probably.

In all honesty they don't really need a port. Why can't a ship just travel through Gibraltar?

Because I wanted Aragon to be enemies with Spain, (friends with England, maybe even Protestant,) so Spain won't let them use Gibraltar.

Why not just sail along the Moroccan coast then?

Or make a canal connecting two of the rivers in Morocco?

I never said anything about forts.

They could just ally with the Moroccans against the Spainugese, with the Aragonese have rights to access Moroccan Ports.

This is my first foray into map-making both in Inkscape and on the forums, for a planned Crusader Kings II AAR.

The focus is on both the Republic of Venice and the County of Treviso:

Are there any easily spotted mistakes to fix or improvements to make?

If you're using modern Italian, it should be Serenissima Repubblica Veneziana, I think.

I think it actually would be Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia, but I'm using Venetian.

I'm no expert on Italian but I think either are acceptable - the former uses an adjective, the latter a genitival phrase. (In English they'd be translated, resepctively, "Most Serene Venetian Republic" and "Most Serene Republic of Venice".)
