I'm glad you quoted that before I edited it. Now we can see both versions. But as you can see from the final version, the symbol is a ship symbolising the spread of Oceanian communism to the Pacific and beyond!

I didn't see the new flag challenge until the voting thread came up, but here's the flag I would have submitted had I known about it.
A flag of al-Ummah al-Amriika (the Nation of America), perhaps better described as Arabic Muslim United States.

It's simply a field of 13 stripes defaced with Saladin's Eagle bearing a shield with an altered crescent and star. The text in blue reads "Ummah Amriika", the text in gold is the Shahada.

A slight shift to the left of centre and that would also make a great Iceland/ Norway Union Flag.
