Question, why is it that China, being the largest supplier of aid and money to the Congo, and being immensely interested in the DRC's resources has not made the DRC an ally?

In fact, why is it that the nations that China actually is focusing on (Like North Sudan, Zimbabwe, The DRC, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania) are NOT its allies while nations it isn't even doing anything with ARE its allies? In fact the nations you chose for the Chinese allies are the nations China DOESN'T want anything to do with! Also... Chinese allied Liberia? What?

Also... why the hell would the EU align with the Tuareg against Mali which is aligned with Nigeria... which is pro European?

Oh yeah... and what happened to Puntland?

It's okay. I find it ASB that the US isn't involved in this Africa though. They'd get involved long before India would.

They're focused on courting South America and India; through the latter, they have good trade relations with East Africa (which, BTW, now includes Malawi).

Can it be assumed that the EU allies are US allies too?

Not necessarily. Europe is slowly establishing itself as a world power in its own right; I figure by a few decades from now, the US and Europe will be on roughly equal footing.

Okay... yet another why? Why would the EAC allow Malawi, one of the least developed nations in the entire world to join? The entire nation only stays afloat because the WB keeps giving it money, so why would the relatively successful EC allow Malawi to come in and set them back by decades?

Okay, now let's assume that this somehow does happen. Over 90% of Malawi's exports (if you can call them exports) is just agriculture, with 61% being tobacco, so is the world just using them to make really cheap cigs or something?

If grey signifies 'basket case,' then all of Africa should be coloured grey. Because seriously.

Well, the Federation's relative success in developing itself led to some interest in Malawi. The former initially showed little interest due to the reasons you sited, but heavy investment to counter Chinese influence eventually led to Malawi becoming semi-developed, and thus joining the Federation.

That's very ignorant. While it's true that much of Africa today is unstable, there are certain areas of it that have had success-South Africa, Botswana, Somaliland, and Tunisia, just to name a few. In several decades, the number of developed(ish) African nations will likely increase.

But there is no Chinese influence in Malawi. In fact Malawi is one of the places that China is staying away from... for those reasons. Also, why would the EAC/F invest against the Chinese who are the biggest investors in EAC/F nations (640 Million+ Yuans a year). That would be biting the hand that feeds you... but on a greater scale.

Also, China invests 2.23 Billion+ Yuans a year in North Sudan... so as I said before the nations allied to China in this map make no sense.

I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the way things look on your map.

I've been working on this for a few weeks, and before I continue on let me just say 'I'm done, I'm finally fucking finished it!'.

I essentially did this from the bottom up, figuring out the religious demographics of each Region and then adding them all up, which took a considerable amount of time as you migh imagine.

Anyways, as some may remember I've been working on maps for a TL I plan to actually write (it'll be my first that I don't give-up on!) some time soon.

The text in the map explains it al pretty well; if you want to know the exact demographics of any of the Regions I do have them all written down.

Literally the only thing missing there would be Djibouti as a department, as well as merging Luxembourg with Walloon Luxembourg. Other than that:

AMAZING!

ITTL France never held Djibouti.

Luxembourg I considered, but by the time Wallonia became part of France ITTL (1940's) they would'nt have been that willing to see 1/3 of their territory split off.

I will say however that in the TL's future Jura and Neuchatel will merge (2014) after a referendum.

I especially like how you broke the Temotu islands off of the Solomons and added them to TTL's Vanuatu. It's easy for people to simply keep island groups as OTL even if they change the owners, and it shows a lot more creativity to change up the island groupings like this.
