Help with the 19th century
Hello everyone. I need help for my Stargate TL. I would like to first ask for a little help in several different categories.
1-Industrial Revolution(both of them) 2-Politics of Napoleonic-Victorian age, and popular figures of the day 3-Medical Technology- Plants, practices, revolutionary processes 4-Science/Inventors- Important scientists, inventors, idealists, and the works 5-Military Forces in the US, politics, and how badly the British could maul the US if they could direct their full land forces on them. 6-Victorian/Napoleonic age heroes, writers, villains, horrors, and most of all philosophers. |

*ahem* 1: I'm not sure I know what you want about IR's, so I'll skip that one for now. 2 + 6: (more philosophers than you can shake a stick at!) Napoleon Bonaparte, Arthur Wellesley, Madame de Stael, Jacques Louis David, Edmund Kean, Humphrey Davy, Robert Owen, Erasmus and Charles Darwin, William Godwin, Thomas Malthus, Jane Austen, Sir Walter Scott, Samuel Coleridge, Robert Southey, William Wordsworth, Lord Byron, Percy and Mary Shelley, Klemenz Wenzel von Metternich, Karl Gauss, Alessandro Volta, Friedrich von Schlegel, August Wilhelm von Schlegel, Johann Fichte, Johann Christian von Schiller, Goethe, Beethoven, Carl von Weber, Adam Gottlob Oehlenschlager, Esais Tegner, Hegel, Talleyrand. 3: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medicin...ican_Civil_War ![]() 4: Sorry, don't know much about. Just the basics. 5: The Brits could have defeated America easily if they so desired. But resistance would make British occupation almost impossible. Hope I helped some! ![]()

For industrial revolution(s), I would like to know what kind of natural resources the states of the world posses and how they can be used.

Industrial processes were needed for the industrial revolution, so the most important resources were ones needed for those processes. Coal is probably #1, iron is up there, pretty much any metal really.
Also, for literature, there's also anything by Jule Verne (I think he was near the end of the period you're talking about.
