So I was thinking about an ASB timeline in which yours truly is made into a Global Level Reality Bender at some point in history. This would be the first timeline/history/mewank I've ever tried to write here, and I'd be looking for ideas.

Assuming. Is self-insert fiction even allowed? I usually write characters as me because at least I kind of understand myself. Other people are... problematic.

But here's the catch: The POD is the night of September 10, 2001. The first hint that Alt-Me is a superbeing comes just after he frags most of the Middle East in thoughtless retaliation.

(Hey, a lot of people were a little bit crazy that day. Fact is, I really DID imagine in my head a giant swath of deadly energy wiping out all life between the Jordan and Indus Rivers.)

The Alt-Me is not intended to be a flat-out "villain." (Your Mileage May Vary). This was an unintentional accident, just like the time my wife told her abusive, hospitalized mother to "just DIE already" and she in fact died that night.

If I don't make the guy into Hitler, if I suggest that he might not be entirely bad, is that "advocating genocide?" I don't wanna get banned.

As long as you don't glorify yourself into some perfect flawless person (which you do not appear to be planning to do), I think it looks fine. Also I would suggest saying that you take inspiration from yourself and use your own past as a guide but try to hold onto your privacy as much as possible, you may regret having too much information displayed for public view, so people, places, and events, even the exact setting probably should best have a name change.

I hope not. I mean, okay, if I was a Q I'd make myself thinner and buff, but personality-wise I'm definitely flawed, and I think it will show in my story. (Assuming I man up and write it.)

Well, yeah, I wouldn't mention myself or any real-life acquaintances by name, I don't even see myself identifying my home state. Though I still have the character referring to himself as "Shepherd." It's a superhero S-name, after all.

Look at examples of what other people posted to get themselves banned, and then don't post anything that looks like what they said. You should be fine.

If its a story then you should be OK, timelines are more complicated
