Greater Navarre
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sancho_III_of_Navarre
Sancho "the Great" III of Navarre reigned all of Christian Iberia for some time (he started with Navarre and Aragon, later annexed Sobrarbe and Ribagorza, got Castille, conquered Leon, and made Barcelona his vassal). After his death, his lands were divided among his four sons. Is there a way to keep Iberia united?

I like this POD, it has a great deal of potential...
There seem to be two main ways of going with this; (1) throwing some butterflies at Sancho's children so that he only ends up with one surviving recognised son. (2) having him not set out the division of the lands particularly clearly before his death, and have his various sons and heirs fight it out after his death, with the strongest eventually gaining control of all the lands. This would, however, probably shape the subsequent monarch's approach to rule in a fairly militaristic and defensive way. I'm not sure how that would affect things. .....

It is really interesting, although you would have to get rid of three of his sons and do something to calm down the castillians (the County of Castille included the Basque Lordships that were also very suspicious of the Navarrese power and preferred the castillian Counts).

Have him live longer and his three 'extra' sons die while fighting the Moors.
