WI George V Survives past 1936?

I've been reading up on "The Abdication Crisis" quite a bit lately and it got me thinking about potential Pods wihch could affect how it plays out. I've seen Edward VIII refusing to abdicate discussed here a few times, but what if his father, George V, had lived exactly 3 more years?

This means that Edward VIII is due to become King in January 1939. How does this affect his relationship with Wallis Simpson? If his relationship follows a simelar patton to OTL, is he forced by his father/the government to abdicate before he can even reign? If so how does the lack of an abdication crisis affect things?

Assuming he still ends up King though, what does the government do, baring in mind World War II is just aroun the corner?

As far as "That Woman" (to shamelessly steal the title of the new book on Wallis Simpson) goes, my bet is that the Royal Family and the Government will put enough pressure on the Prince of Wales, should he insist on trying to carry on his relationship, in order that he'll end it, or be maneuvered into marrying a more suitable candidate.

What Joe said. Chamberlain didn't like Edward one bit and would read him the riot act immediately. If he settles down with someone appropriate, then the war probably goes as OTL.
