No Kamikaze
This does not involve a certian last dicth act of World War II Japanese avionics used against American and Commonwealth ships.
In 1281, the Chinese (at the time ruled by Mongels) launched an invasion of Japan, After having there first attack beaten off, they moved off from the coastline to wait for reinforcements. However when Reinforcements arived, a Praticularly nasty storm hit them destroying a considerable amount of the Fleet and forcing the survivors to retreat. Now for the POD, What if the storm did not come and the Mongel Led chinese force managed to launch there second attack? Zor |

One the Mongol forces got off their ships, the local samurai are in trouble. They were heavily outnumbered. They would have made the Mongols pay for every inch of ground though.
Most likely result is a defeat of Japanese forces and the pretty rapid conquest of Kyushu by the Mongols. They would then set their sights on the rest of Japan... Sargon

Hmm... Assuming that Sargon is right and Kyushu (or even most/all of Japan) was conquered by the Mongols, that would have an interesting effect on the dissolution of the Mongol empire- namely, how long would an island khanate have lasted?
