Challenge: Reverse Anschluss
In first half of XX century (1900-1950) how the Germany, all or in large part, can be annexed to Austro-hungarian Empire (or to a Habsburgic Federation)?

If the PoD were before 1870, I could see possibilities. I don't see ANY here.

I have a few meteors in my back pocket, let me just throw them at Berlin, the Ruhr, and everywhere else that isn't Bavaria in 1901. Wait for the dust to settle (literally).
Kinda ASB, to be honest.

As others have stated, there are reasonable chances of getting this (even better, an Austro-German-Italian unification) with the right PoD (a far-seeing, ambitious Habsburg leadership) in 1848. In 1900, it's pretty much ASB.

First off the adjective form of Habsburg is... Habsburg, not Habsburgic.
Secondly, as everyone else said, it's basically ASB, and trust me if there were away for this to happen, I would have proposed it by now. |
