Batman graphic novel AH

fellas, just flicked thru a Batman graphic novel a couple wks back set in an ATL where Batman previously became a vampire, and had a stake stuck thru his heart. Once the villains of Gotham City go on the rampage again, Commish Gordon decides to get Alfred to remove the stake from his heart and have this vampire version of their hero track down and take out the likes of the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, 2-Face, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Szasz, et al, although they recognise what a monster they've loosed and try to team up with the surviving gangsters to take down the vampire bat.

What do you guys reckon of such ATLs in the comicbook world ?

MelvinC has done a few ATLs with Batman and Superman.They even did an ElseWorlds novel with the JLA-no Martian Manhunter.Have you or anyone else read Stan Lee's take on the DCU?Batman is SPOILER- African American.Superman is an intergalactic policeman.Wonder Woman is a Latina,, etc.Good work by Stan.BUT- no Batgirl or Supergirl-sob!sob!
