WI General Sharhbaraz attacked Heraclius in 628 AD?
During Heraclius's campaign in Persia in the 620s, mutual suspicion arose between Khosrau II and General Shahrbaraz.... Roman agents showed Shahrbaraz letters indicating that Khosrau II was planning the general's execution. This kept one of the main Persian armies and its best general neutral during this crucial period in Egypt and didnot attacked the invading Heraclius, speeding the end of the war and the Roman victory.
WI Sharhbaraz attacked Heraclius rear and annihilated the Roman army? How is this altering History? Any thoughts?
