DBWI/AHC: Race Music Popular/Mainstream

It's sort of an obscure musical footnote, but back in the early 50s, there were a few white radio stations that dabbled in playing Race Music for white audiences. Would it be possible for Race Music to replace Boogie* or Hill Music*? What sort of POD might make it more popular? Maybe if some Hill crooner like Jesse Presley* had more of a Race Music influance?

If Race Music became more populaar, what effects would it have? Would it have any impact on segregation?

Would it have any effect on the Skiffle or Teddy Music* that made up the early 60s "British Invasion"?

*OOC Notes: This is a dual POD, if it isn't clear. The first is the failure of Rock and Roll to take off, and the second is Elvis' twin lives and Elvis doesn't. Boogie and "Hillbilly" music fill the niche. "Teddy Music" is a new British genre, resulting from the Teddy Boys picking up and fusing Boogie and Hill Music.
