I had an idea for improving AH.com...

This idea came after I tried to catch up on reading DValdron's Green Antarctica - The Last Continent and my computer froze for about half an hour due to loading.

It's impossible or at least really hard to read a whole timeline if it's scattered across 85 pages interspaced with other people's posts.

The idea here is simple.

What if everyone reading a topic, when they start a thread has a "threadstarter's posts" option like the egosearch function on nationstates. This is, un-interspaced all the posts that the person made on one page.

In other words, I could click on Green Antarctica - The Last Continent, and on page one next to DValdron's username would be a "show all posts in thread" button.

Also, if anyone has topics where they typed the document out before posting it in a textedit or word document have they ever considered some way to make that publicly available?

Some people post "update-only" or "discussion-free" versions of their timelines and stories, so maybe you could do some searching around, or failing that, politely ask for someone to compile and post a discussion-free thread.

Just ask them to post a discussion-free version, then. If you phrase it nicely, you may very well finagle it out of them

The number of replies is actually a link that shows who posted in the thread and how many times. And the numbers there are links to the lists of posts of the specific member in the specific thread.
...That sounded really weird for some reason. Maybe because it's totally crazy.

I did PM DValdron to ask. So far, no response, understandably he's got a real life as well as AH.com.
