Turtledove-The Sacred Land

It's really more of a historical novel. Two Greek traders from the 'Wind Dark Sea' and 'The Gryphons Skull' series. Pretty good, but not really AH, since he writes it the way we think it happened.
Alexander's will is reputed to be 'To the strongest', with about the results you would expect. The Successors are battling it out to see who inheirits the empire he built.
