Star Wars WI: General Grevious Escapes

What if, during the battle of Utapau, General Grevious is able to kill General Kenobi, and escape along with the Separtist Council, how could this affect the story?

well it would definitley make an opening for a new movie thats for sure.
Story wise, General grevious would destroy the republic with his army, if luck is on his side, but if Anakin still joins the Dark side and becomes Darth Vader, the Dark side would defintaley have an upper hand advantage. And Anakin would not need his world known suit either, because Obiwan would not defeat him in mustafar. Other that that i'm not too sure.

This possibility was outlined in the ROTS novelization. Put simply, if Grievous had won, Palps would kill him anyway.

Yeah - I think one source (which I can't recall off the top of my head) has his personal fighter boobytrapped. He'd flee to Mustafar with the rest of the Separatist council and more than likely be killed by Anakin who wouldn't be wounded in the subsequent battle and who'd topple Sidious.
