Testosterone WI

The main differences between men and women are pretty much due to their hormones. Testosterone enables the growth of the male organs and also makes men better hunters/killers. It promotes muscle growth, improves perception, improves hand-eye coordination, and makes men more agressive but emotionally detatched. The trade off is that men are designed to die sooner. Which makes sense, in a hunter-gatherer society, since men are only really useful when they're physically fit anyway. Women stay useful well into their old age.

Anyway, what if, testosterone was even more powerful? Men become a little bit stronger, agressive, etc. But, they die 5, 10, maybe even 15 years earlier, on average; which ever you want. How might societies develop differently?

Maybe human society would be composed of groups led by matriarchs- they're old and experienced compared to the men who die in their fifties. We might have polygamy- competition between young males for access to women kills a certain percentage of them off. Thus, we have one male to a few women.
