Challenge: Change world population

Starting in 1850, when the world's population was 1 billion, have it be either 3 billion (half OTL value) or 12 billion (twice OTL value) in 2000. No population decreases anytime.

No advances in medicine and farming. More people die due to ilness and in their pre-reproduction years and those who live can't reproduce much as they can't feed themselves.

Just the opposite of above.

in the draka timeline as of 2000 the population is at 3 billion due to the world being modernized with no third world nations.
