Challenge: China, largest nation

By 2004, using any POD, make China the largest nation in the world. (Not hard, considering they're third already.) It doesn't have to be Communist (Government system doesn't matter), but it has to be the largest.

They settle more of Siberia (China controlled part, but lost it to Russia) sounds like a good start.

At one point, there was a Chinese army on the Caspian Sea. Perhaps they keep more of Central Asia.

Siberia is the way to go, have a less eastward looking Russia and China is there.

I've heard that China are looking to buy parts of Siberia from Russia actually though Russia is demanding a huge amount (as they are with the Japanese islands they control)
