Victorian Age lasts until 1920

Queen Victoria, "The Widow of Windsor", was born in 1819 and ruled from 1837-1901.

1. How would history have differed from OTL if she had reached a 100 years old, and the Victorian Age had lasted until 1920? Would there even have been a WW1 with her as queen, even if senile?

2. How would her reign and the British Empire have differed if Albert hadn't died in 1861, which set the tone of "the Victorian Mentality".

A nice, different topic :)

One of the main reasons that Wilhelm II became more agitated against the British was that he saw his uncle, Edward VII as in some way plotting against him etc, as epitomised by his visit to Paris in the run up to the Anglo-French Entente

In addition, Wilhelm seems genuinely to have loved and admired his grandmother. Therefore you could certainly see a closer personal relationship for the period 1901-1910 than in OTL

After 1910 things would probably change in this ATL anyway. Victoria is 90, same sort of age as Wilhelm I was when he died. Her son, the Prince of Wales dies without ever getting his hands on the throne, and thus George (future George V) will succeed Victoria without any Edwardian interlude. The last ten years of Victoria's reign would probably see him more heavily involved in constitutional affairs, even if Victoria remains fairly healthy and clear of mind.

Wilhelm gets on better with George than he ever did with Edward, so again there is scope for some personal development here

If Victoria had survived until 1910 there might have been a serious Constitutional Crisis.

In OTL Georage V (after Liberal victories in 2 general elections) agreed to threaten to create enough new Peers Liberal to ensure that the Parliament Act (which limited the powers of the Lords somewhat) would go through the Lords.

The Tories (Conservatives) in the Lords backed down.

Victoria- who was becoming more tory, might NOT have.

Which, given her advanced age, could well hasten a Regency of George ? I'm not sure what needs to be done constitutionally to bring about a Regency ? I guess if it requires a vote in the Commons AND in the Lords, it may have been difficult to attain.
