Trial of John Wilkes Booth

There was a book and TV movie about Custer surviving and being tried. What if the Supreme court before Lincoln's death declares suspension of habeas corpus and Lincoln orders no military trials. Suppose Booth is caught alive with definite evidence of a conspiracy and is put on Trial. What happens to him and the REAL conspirators?

uh, he was one of the real conspirators. He was tied in with the other assassins who went after the other govt. leaders and failed; Booth was the only one who succeeded.
