Using a POD after 1950, and avoiding ASBs, nuclear holocausts, and natural disasters, develop a one world government that looks something like this.
- The UN General Assembly is basically the Parliment of the world
- The UN is a blend of Social Democrats, American Libertarian and Green Parties
- Religion, though not forbidden is discouraged heavily
- The UN maintains a massive military force with state of the art equipment
- Third and second world countries are developed or developing
- Discrimination based on race, sexual preference is illegal and a serious crime
- Victimless crimes are legal, except for certain types of drugs
- Large countries like Russia, America and China are broken down to smaller nations
- The death penalty is technically illegal, however people who question things too much have the tendency to disappear
- Crime is a major problem all over the planet
- Gun ownership is a crime
- Corrupt local governments within the UN frame
- Olympics being the only major sporting event allowed, countries required to participate
- Patches of rebellions that fight the UN and eachother in gang wars
- Money system replaced by Credit system, must have a credit card to buy anything
- Big brother always watching so to speak, but not terribly active against the more threatening factions
- English becomes the language of the world, all others are to be secondary
