DBWI: What if Virginia seceded from the Union during the Civil War

What do you think would happen if Virginia seceded from the Union during the Civil War?

Perhaps West Virginia is created some ~10 years or so earlier, instead of in 1875 as it was in our reality. And the C.S.A. might have lasted a little longer, maybe to late 1865, instead of December 1864 when the war effort fell apart; the last C.S. partisans surrendered in April.

Robert E. Lee would for sure not be the leading Union general. He would've stayed neutral, I just do not see him fighting for the Confederacy.

I can't see the declaration of 1863 being made by Lincoln to allow a transition from slavery in loyal union states without Virginias lobbying. Virginia isn't exactly proud of being the last state to abolish slavery (1874)

True, but on the upside, race relations between African-Americans and white folks has nearly always been better in Virginia than in nearly every other Southern state outside of maybe Texas(and my home state of Oklahoma, too, but it usually isn't considered a southern state, is it?),
