Uh, this is OTL - do the Contras ring a bell? Or do you mean the US and Nicaragua being the two "puppetmasters" who control respectively aligned rebel movements in a third country?

You know if you find yourself writing a "that's OTL" sort of response, in most cases you're missing the OPs point, and not really educating them about OTL history, because odds are they know things that are that basic. While it provides an opportunity to show off knowledge of OTL history and imply ignorance of it on the part of the OP, [t-word deleted] it is not conducive to interesting discussion, un-endearing and tends to annoy the OP (and sometimes others interested in discussing the topic as well).

Hmm, I didn't correctly read and interpret the "21st century" part. I would apologize, but your other paragraph sort of cancels out this lapse on my part, so I guess we're even.
