To the actual op I think even with a victory at tours it's hard to get a Muslim France and I see that's off the table honestly short of some crazy European wide calamity I don't see it happening .
What if France conquers so much territory in Northern Africa/the Levant that they eventually make Arabic an official language beside French? And perhaps if the borders were more porous, the ethnic French would spread out over the empire and people from the colonies would get attracted to France proper? I never stipulated that France needed to undergo decolonization.
you need a lot of Arab lands to outpopulate the French. With a regressing eastern rome, it's India, china and France that holds the most population until Russia took the 3rd spot in the napoleonic age.
The Arabs really need to be very lucky on their timing just to overwhelm Frankia and Christianity just like Yarmouk. But no one gets a loaded dice forever.
France at its weakest means the Romans have presence in Italy. So even if France loses a battle, the Romans can easily help them. But that is a very short span. After that, France would be too powerful and too organized to fall under Islam. It is one of those times that the Arabs are more advanced the France.
If you want the pod during or after enlightenment or age of discovery, this would be ASB. Since Spain and france would be far too powerful, too advanced and far too Christian by that time while the Arabs have regressed/stagnated compared to Western Europe.

- The same Almohads that are struggling hard to maintain in Spain?
- The same Cathars that didn't fought during the Crusade, but ended being protected by people that actually fought? (A point raised by occitan chroniclers, a bit bitter)
That alone, without the other huges issues (and the list is really long), make it insanely hard already.

...so yeah. France is definitely too far for the Muslims. they reached their limits with Spain in the west and Indonesia in the east. that's pretty far already.
It's not like medieval Arabo-Muslims didn't loved wine at all, having Christian and Jewish population producting it, and them driking it without real backleash.

Abu Nuwas died in prison and his verse was used as evidence against him. Rich privileged people getting away with things in oppressive civilizations until they fall out of favour is really rather typical of premodern and some modern societies. Mostly the kind you don't want to live in.
