Give it 20 or so years and this is OTL not serious
Oh, for chrissake, not this Eurabia trivel again! This is a farsical far-right propaganda bit! It NEVER is going to happens. Or to Britain, or Germany, etc...
What if France conquers so much territory in Northern Africa/the Levant that they eventually make Arabic an official language beside French? And perhaps if the borders were more porous, the ethnic French would spread out over the empire and people from the colonies would get attracted to France proper? I never stipulated that France needed to undergo decolonization.
maybe the Almohads see an opportunity to cause chaos in Christendom and help the Albigensians?
- The same Almohads that are struggling hard to maintain in Spain?
- The same Cathars that didn't fought during the Crusade, but ended being protected by people that actually fought? (A point raised by occitan chroniclers, a bit bitter)
That alone, without the other huges issues (and the list is really long), make it insanely hard already.
With a PoD no earlier than 1492, make France a majority Muslim state. No cheating by considering Algeria or some other colony as part of France. Bonus points if a plurality of ethnic French are Muslim as well.
Abu Nuwas said:Come right in, boys. I'm
a mine of luxury -- dig me.
Well-aged brilliant wines made by
monks in a monastery! shish-kebabs!
roast chickens! Eat! Drink! Get happy!
and afterwards you can take turns
shampooing my tool.
That sounds so wrong...
My saddle fits two good and gentle horses,
good, dexterous in battle, valiant as well;
but I can’t hang on to both, one won’t tolerate the next.
If I could just domesticate the pair,
I’d never deploy my equipage any other place,
for I’d be mounted better than any man around.
The one was racing champ of the hills,
and it has long been high-spirited and wild,
so savage and wary, it cannot be brushed.
The other grew up around Confolens,
and you never saw one lovelier, I know.
No gold or silver purse could buy that horse from me.
I gave it to its master in its youth,
but I retained the right,
that every year he rode, I rode a hundred or more.
Oh knights, give me advice, I’m in tight straits,
I’ve never felt so torn in a dilemma,
I can’t tell if I should keep Milady Agnes or Arsen.
Yeah, totally a rigorist civilization.
