What are some prominent fictional U.S. leaders from quasi-realistic fiction? By that I mean series such as The West Wing or Commander-in-Chief, as opposed to shows such as 24, or series set in the far future.

Well in The Plot Against America it is Charles Lindbergh.

Josiah Bartlet and Matt Santos come to mind. ;)
Does Harrison Ford's character in Air Force One count?

Hm. On second thought, perhaps the only few political drama series mundane and realistic and boring enough are The West Wing and Commander-in-Chief.

Well, there were also the Presidents in Dave and The American President.
Also, Richard North Patterson wrote some novels where the hero was President Kerry Kilcannon.
