I'm afraid I've changed some British spelling to American. I've tried not to, but when it's underlined it's just so hard not to click.

Don't worry, there's proportionately far more of us than them on the wiki. I'm not immediately going to go and correct it all back, but it'll probably all shift back eventually just through general editing (apart from the usual 20% Susano spelling ;) ).

Don't worry. I sometimes switch back and forth, depending on whom I'm talking to. If I'm talking to friends and family back home and I get on AH.com after talking with them, I might be consciously using American spelling without me knowing. Otherwise, I try my best effort to use international/British spellings.

Since this is the wiki, we're talking about, I move we decide on a standard spelling for it: British or American? I vote British, b/c I think that's what the majority of members here use.

Canadian, obviously. Repeat after me: Tire Centre.

I vote we fight it out in a wiki edit war. :p

Or we just leave it how it has been.

Yeah, let's go with this. I'm too lazy for anything more. ;)

Tyre Center, just to piss everyone off.

Strangely enough, there's a chain of hardware stores here called Tyre Center (along with Bath Center, Plumb Center, etc.) Apparently they use the American spelling deliberately so people will get pissed off about it, because then they remember the name without advertising :D

:D

If it leads to constant re-editing then we should agree to a standard spelling.

I usually use British spelling when it's the same as Canadian. There's some words that I don't even remember if they are American or British spelling (e.g civilization). When I write notes for a lecture I drop the u from colour and such.
