View Full Version : Article titles as links

I don't know who keeps doing it, but can we please stop making the title of an article into a link? It's totally pointless, because it only links back to the same article in the first place!

I'd prefer it if we had a consistent title font size, too, but I suppose that's more of a personal preference...

I've been doing that. I thought I saw an article where the linking syntax made a proper title, and I wasn't sure about a better way.

Nah, I think you mistook that. I use Title Size 1 for titles (the biggest) - just select the title and click the H1 button, or add ====== to either side.

I've located the biggest culprit: G.Bone. I've just had to edit about 500 of his articles

On a different note, I'm starting to worry people will think I share all Susano's opinions about Germany, since I've made several minor typographical corrections to his articles (without changing the sense of them), thus leaving me as last named editor of a file suggesting, for instance, that Adenauer was a collaborator with the French in Alsace-Lorraine. :D

Oh, I didn't think so. Because I checked 'last revisions' to see what you changed. It is a quirk I have.

:D I thought the same.

Thanks to Jasen777 for adding stubs on the South American countries, but I had to delete the one on Colombia and move the text to a new article, as it was misspelled as Columbia...

I only fixed some of the titles (and linked to the correct ACW page), I didn't create the pages.

I didn't believe you about Colombia until I looked at my map. And I thought it was the British who liked sticking u's into things.

It's because we English-speakers (regardless of levels of U-ness ;) ) use Columbus' Latinised name, Columbus (as in District of Columbia), whereas the Spanish-speakers use the Italian form of his name, Cristoforo Colombo. That's what he would have usually called himself when he was alive, being Venetian.
