What article's that? I wish to ensure it is "fair and balanced". Except actually so.

He he... thanks. :D
That's... pretty much it, although a little out of date (the Morning Star one specifically).

How is that out of date for the Morning Star?
I added info for the Indy as you created the link.

No Soviets anymore, reducing the potential for 'another country'.
Morning Star's still going strong tho', if you go to the right newsagent...
Only read it once tho' out of curiosity. Didn't think it would have TV listings...

I'm guessing Thande's response will be: "Oh! That's what you meant!" Because that was what I thought, too. :D

1. Anyone here actually read the Morning Star?
2. What papers are read by you guys?
(Me: the Indy or Times mainly, due to ease of size, the Guardian ocasionally, and the Telegraph on odd ocasions for a 'balanced view'- but hampered due to my lack of really right-wing tendencies (old leftie habits that won't die), size and lack of a decent supplement. Also the Northern Echo, our regional paper.)
Yes, Thande is thanked for the fact that ignorant foreigners can be properly educated:rolleyes: and to Redem for pointing out the fact.
We'll have to stop blaming him now.

I read The Torygraph, and get my balance from Private Eye and Auntie's website. I've tried The Grauniad and Indie, but couldn't stand either. The FT is dull as dishwater. The tabloids* are in a word, execrable, and the only one I can stand is The Daily Sport - which is a perv's comic, not a newspaper.
* I've tried The Sun, Mirror and Mail at various points to acquire a rounded view. It just confirmed the prior contempt I held them in.

Ah yes, but I can't alter that, because 'tis the sacred quote from Yes, Minister ;)

Well it just happen we prefer to talk about what is going on in their country than what is going on in their newspaper

Isn't 'Morning Star' one of Satan's monikers?

Sort of. "Lucifer" is Latin for Light Bringer, a nickname for Venus, which is also known as the Morning Star.

The only reason I have a vague recollection of the whole Morning Star bit was Bartleby's rant.

That sounds about right
Although it's just a coincidence - the Star which is delivered in the morning, as opposed to the Evening Standard for instance.
Hmm, I should add the Evening Standard...

Morning/Day Star is also a figurative name for Jesus

I don't think either Satan or Jesus are all that bothered about the Socialist Workers' Party.

...
Basically, the above, with more emphasis on the Guardian and none on the Telegraph. Also, I read Private Eye a lot, in order to find out where the normal papers are falling short...

Did he actually write all of the articles in there?
Because I was looking on ARRSEpedia and found this. Very similar to The Sun article.

Does that mean you wrote the ARRSEpedia article as well?
The Sun is read by people who don’t care who runs the country, as long as she’s got big tits.

Well, Thande was quoting Yes, Minister, so one assumes they were, too, old boy.
