First go to the profile of the person you want to pm, either by clicking thier name in a post or going through the members list or searching for it.here's Ians profile (http://www.alternatehistory.net/discussion/member.php?u=2) then click the link that says "Send a personal message to Ian Montgomerie" fill in the topic, and the main part and you are set, just click send and voila, they instantly know what they have to do
