1514 May - September:Spurred by the growing success of the English in Norasia, James IVth, finally satisfied with the growth of his naval forces, sends an expedition to the New World. They establish a trading post in OTL's Boston area, at the mouth of the Charles River which they name the James River.

While the English claim that all of Norasia is under English protection, King Arthur chooses not to go to war over the issue for now.

1516: While looking for more straightforward routes to Norasia, the Scottish happen upon Bermuda and claim it for Scotland.

1520: Scotland establishes a second trade outpost in the area of OTL Fort Christiana at the mouth of the OTL Delaware River.

1521 - 1530: The Scots work to consolidate their outposts in Norasia and Bermuda, focusing on competing with the Anglo-British for the fur trade. They sell their wares through France and the Lowlands to the continent.

1530: Scottish explorers seek a Northeastern Passage to China, exploring a route north of Scandinavia. This first expedition reaches OTL's Archangel. The Scottish crown grants a charter to open a trade route with the Muscovites.

i would think James would be more bothered by English Success. Prospering England is always bad signs for France and Scotland...

Who did he marry in TTL?

1500:

Great Britain:

England and Scotland agree to a treaty of peace, with Mary Rose Tudor promised in marriage to James IV of Scotland.

1506 January:

Twelve-year-old Princess Mary Rose Tudor of England is married to King James IV Stewart of Scotland.

and there are no plotting plotters anywhere in either kingdom? no disputes arising over cattle grazing that erupt into shots being exchanged?

Of course there are, more in Scotland than in England. But none that break into outright war.

BTW, all I've done here is slightly delay the OTL treaty and marry off a ATL sister named Mary Rose (not OTL's) instead of Margaret Tudor, who went to Portugal.

I think by the '30's the Russians might be looking at a Northern passage also, but a trade charter would be great. I'm working on strengthening the Sibir Khanate, haven't posted it yet, but it's a word of warning, that they might not look kindly on Europeans, but it's in the beginning stages
