On the lack of Democracy: If you examine it closely, Communism appears to be giving all the other systems of government a run for their money. WWII in this ATL is being fought against the Reds...

Straha & Others: This TL's main divergence is the success of the Spartacist/Communist uprising in Germany, but the failure of the Bolsheviks in Russia by 1920. I'm not going to say much more than that when it comes to POD(s).

Revised POD: Trotsky rises to power and funds the 1919 Spartacist revolt, and many other similar Communist Revolutions. The Bolshevik government eventually implodes however following a coup in the mid-1920's, and Civil War subsequently breaks out (ending in a military dictatorship taking over). It all goes down hill from there...

Actually, yes. We end up with a corporatist system, where workers are required to sign up for the National Labor Representation System. Basically the government creates what amount to unions, but workers can't organize themselves.

That's an understatement. Democratic Socialism in Europe never really takes root either...

Pretty accurate also. The Red Scare, repressiveness of the Communist regimes (think Stalinism on a larger scale), and WWII discredit Socialism/Communism among the general public. However, some Communist regimes survive, just like Fascist and Communist ones did in OTL.

This ATL's WWII is essentially an inverted version of OTL's. This one runs from 1935-1949 (note the last digits in both years are switched), and in this ATL the Allies consist of the Democratic (more or less) and Fascist Regimes against the Communist People's Front (unlike OTL, where the reverse happened).
