What is it, and where did it come from? I'm curious...

It's supposed to look like a butterfly, of the sort whose flapping wings might cause a hurricane in China. It was a totally random image I found on the web months ago.

Actually a quick Google search shows that it's the Waterman Butterfly Map (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterman_%22Butterfly%22_World_Map_Projection). There's a bit more on it here (http://www.progonos.com/furuti/MapProj/Normal/ProjPoly/projPoly.html) as well as some other butterfly-like maps too.
