What do all the abbreviations used in posts mean? I've gathered WI is 'what if': how about the others?

TL: Time line, common variations ATL and OTL being an alternate and 'origional' i.e. reality
ASB: Alien Space Bat, more or less an excuse for coming up with a logically impossible change

OTL I always thought was 'our time line', not that it matters really one way or another...

AFAIK=As far as I know
POD=Point of Departure
ISOT=Island in the Sea of Time
isot=verb for moving a geographical region in time (usually backwards)

Well, thats how I use it, though I guess both are valid as they mean the same thing

Ya, Point of Divergence is good too. I just think of it as Point of Departure. I see the former as refering to the point where events diverge whereas the latter to the departure of a ATL from OTL from our point of you. Objectively, there's little or no difference.
