History:
Settlement of Australia occured in 1785. Unlike OTL Federation between the Australian colonies was achieved earlier (1893) and New Zealand joined in 1905. Royal Australian Navy (RAN) formed in 1896 consisting of 2 armored cruisers, 3 light cruisers, 6 torpedo boat destroyers and assorted left overs from the small colonial navies. A sizable force was dispatched to both the Boer war and Boxer Rebellion, both forces gave a good acount of themselves. Aquired the Battlecruisers HMAS Australia and HMNZS New Zealand in 1907, orders for 3 new battlecruisers were placed shortly there after (see link to HMAS NSW), one was later transfered to the RN, HMAS NSW was completed in 1914 and did not arrive in Australia until post WW1 and HMAS Tasmania was delayed until post war. Upon decleration of WW1 in 1914 the RAN and New Zealand Squadron (NZS) started opperations to eliminate German pocessions and the German East Asian Squadron culminating in the Battle of Rabul which resulted in the destruction of Nurnberg, Dresden, Gneisenau and von Spee's flagship Scharnhorst but cost the RAN the loss of the armored cruisers HMAS Melbourne and HMAS Protector. Australian and New Zealand troops were disptached to the middle east and played a vital role in the capture of the Dardenelles. These troops were redeployed to France their career their being much like OTL. The RAN and NZS later joined the RN for opperations in European waters forming the Dominion Battle Squadron (DBS) consisting of the 3 battlecruisers in commision at the time. The DBS was engaged in numerous opperations. At Jutland HMAS Australia was severaly damaged and HMAS New South Wales was credited with sinking a German battleship. During DBS was also engaged in the destruction of the sortie of parts of the High Seas Fleet just after the armistance but HMNZS New Zealand was sunk with all hand by what was belived to be a magazine explosion. Post war both Australia and New Zealand managed to heavily industrialise.

Edit: Revised armorment of several vechials

History:
With the destruction of the English fleet during a series of wars in the 1600s and early 1700s (OTLs Dutch Wars) Holland was left the preeminant sea power in Europe and the East Indies. During the 1600s a number of dutch ships were wrecked on the coast of Terra Australis, culminating in the loss of the Batavia. After the wreck of the Batavia the dutch became determined to survey the coast and reefs which ultimatly led to the discovery of some areas which were not desert and during the 1690s the establishment of several small settlements on the coast. Over time these settlements grew and with the discovery of a number of mineral deposits boomed. Even today New Holland largely relies on the export of these minerals.

Correct:
KS-3 was actually too lightly armed so I decided I should make it a bit more useful:

Kingsford Smith [KS-3] Dingo close support aircraft/dive bomber/torpedo bomber, a two seat biplane armed with 3 .303" guns and a 20mm cannon and capable of carrying 1500 pounds of bombs or a 21" torpedo

A nation with technology like that will change the balance of the game. True, their planes will run out of JP5 and will be only pieces of study for the military engineers like also their computers and armored vehicles but still too strong of a thread to the rest of nations in the area.

Siam attacked French Indo China in 1939 The French moved to fight them

Background History of France IndoChina
in 1935 the French stopped A. Hitler when he tried his first military Adventure and brought the Weimar Republic back into power. and disarmed Germany back to the Versaille treaty regulations .
in 1934 the French Goverment stated to bring it Naval forces up to strength as called for by the 1922 washington Treaty. This is why the French navy has ships 3 years earlier then she would of had in are time line .
In the Spring of 1939 France started to hear rumors that the Kingdom of Siam and Japan were about to attack French Indo China . So by the end of summer the French had sent 2 Reg. Army Divs to Indo China as well as most of the French surface navy . The Airforce had also sent new aircraft to replace the outdate aircraft stationed there .
The French Had strong wornings that Japan and Saim were going to Attack on Sept 2 1939.
Siam is woundering where the promised help from Japan, are at. She know that by herself she can not win a war against the French .
This French Indo China is from a diffrent time line then that of the French Pacific Islands

It looks very interesting Ward - your France is going to be a fascinating factor, a strong European presence in an unexpected place for it. King Rama would be advised to make the best deal he could and accept protectorate status - at least if no one shows up to help him !

Best Regards
