To: The Space Faring Nations of the World.

Greetings. I wite to you on behalf of the Nations of the Confederation of South Sea Islands. In our original timeline, we leased much land to forign space programs and allowed them to use space craft from these facitlities. With the relocation, we have found ourselves with multiple space craft.

We would like to establish contact, and form an organization between all Nations on this 'Mosaic Earth' that have space capability. This orginization would regulate bussness and other issues involving space.

Please contact me ASAP.

Dear sir,

The Empire of Mozambique was fortunate in that our spaceport, located at Karonga, was transported along with us to this world. We may be interested in your proposal.

To: The Empire of Mozambique, and all other space faring nations,

We apreciate your quick response. We would alsl like to know hat form of space technology you poses. My apologies for not making this clear in my first letter. I shall start off with my nation.

The Confederation of South Sea Islands is home to between 5-10 spaceports, one of our own, and others that we lease(d) to the European union, the Asian COnfrece, and the United Nations of North America. WIthout the forign nations, we had satelitie launching capabilities, as well as limited maned space craft. (NOTE in Our time line, Heavier-then-air Aviation was invented in 1864 for the American Wars of Succesion. This put us in space by the 1910's and 20's). Unfortunantly, our 'gliders' could not carry much cargo. So most of the time we rely on the people who leas frim us. With the tech from the nations that we took with us we ahve bulding facilities, as well ase cargo carrying-manned space craft.

Thank you again.

The Empire of Mozambique has:

One spaceport, located at Karonga.
Nine fully-reusable 'Space Shuttle' systems. *
Three expendable launch vehicle families (LEO, HEO, and planetary)
Technical capability to build two earth-orbiting space bases, a lunar base, and Mars missions. (The first manned Mars mission had returned less than a year prior to the Event).
Fusion reactors for spacecraft.

--

* - I haven't decided on a configuration yet. Tuesday I'll nab the Space Shuttle book from the library and choose one.

Mexico finds its self in a difficult position with regards to our space program. We have plenty of spacecraft, rockets, and three shuttles within our post event borders. However, Puerto de la Estrella, our launch facility, has been lost to the event. We would be interested in acquiring the use of launch facilities in your nation. Terms can be discussed.

Subject: Space launch Facility

Dear ladies and gentleman,

Our Space launch facility outside calcutta has been completed on schedule, and will be launching the first components of our highly awaited asteroid colony project. The first component is scheduled for launch this week, at around 9:30 GMT this tuesday. We will be sending up a pre-assembled space station. Our rockets are large, and can contain a medium-sized, pre-assembled space station for a crew of seven to live on. We are inviting six nations of the world to send crew to calcutta so that they may be trained to live aboard the station. We will also be sending up the first of our "space tugs", which have been under construction here in the United Provinces for almost eleven years, ever since the handover of power in 93'. We will be dragging small asteroids to the lagrange point of the Earth/Moon gravity points. Some 70,000 miles from earth. I do apologize if this is so sudden. Our contractors have been working 'round the clock to finish our space launch facility. Since its completion on Thursday, we have been working hard to launch communications satellites. So far, three have entered orbit, and two are scheduled for launch in the next two days. This space station will be open to all nations. I invite you all to do as we are doing. In the spirit of international cooperation, and friendly communications, I invite all nations to the historic launch of this space station. Once again, i do apolgize for the suddeness of this all. However, no astronauts will be aboard the station. We will be sending up our small, three man X-33's in five weeks time to man the station, and begin preparations to have space tugs dock. Within the next five to ten years, we wish to bring the first colony online. The colony will be named the United nations colony "Liberty Bell Seven", after the first american space capsule, and the other will be named the Gagarin space colony after Russian Cosmonaut Yuri gagarin. Both will be online by our year 2015.

The COnfederation of South Sea Islands will be launching another Spaceshuttle into orbit. We also will be establishing an outpost in space, Dubbed CSSI-OO-A. This be sent up in 8 5*5*15ft sections. (3 Living Mod's, 3Science Mods, 1 Control Mod, and one Docking Mod). At first, while we assemble it, it will be staffed by CSSI officers only. However, at a later time, we will allow forign officers abord as well. We will be studying how we may have gotten here, weather patterns, and what not. We assure you that CSSI-OO-A Will not be used for military purposes.

CSSI-OO-A-I(LM) will be launched this comming week, and will be compleated 8 weeks from now when CSSI-OO-A-VIII(DM) is added.

Thank you, God Bless

The Commonwealth has space cababilities, it was on establishing a Mars base when the event happened. It doesn't need launch sites, it uses a space plane which flies to a suitable point conventionally then blasts into space.

For the other nations - Eire isn't a very big part of Celtica so they probally won't be interested in restarting a space programme, Romania has more pressing matters at hand for the time being, it would probally go for a launch site closer to home too.

New Saxonland has surveys of practically all objects in the Solar System with radius 100 km or more, and quite a number of smaller ones. The Kuiper Belt is the exploratory frontier, and nothing transported is capable of reaching there. Their world had a few Moon bases and had made a manned exploration of Mars, and had some space stations. Propulsion was about at the level of "serious" NASA paper studies. They aren't immediately interested in exploration, their big concern is exploitation by navigation, communication, etc. satellites, and these would be what they would replenish with the Space Center. They are very much into international organizations, and would be glad to join.
Russia would have a hard time reinventing the hot air balloon.

Qing China was hundreds of Space Satellites, both government and private owned, many were lost, but the vast majority were replaced speedily. We had two operating space stations before the event, both of which are now gone. Construction of one more was underway and well be speed-up. Most of China's lunching pads were in Sinking Province and well have to be rebuilt with the retaking of the province; enough remain in transported China to sustain the nation's operations at a reduced right.

The Southern Republic of America has slowly begun rebuilding the state-ran televocal (OOC: SRA-world's telephone, which works by sattelite) system's sattelite, and has sucessfully been able to regain service in the southern parts of the country, though the Virginia area is still offline.

------

The United States of America had ran a small Moon Colony, as well as several scientific establishments, and communications sattelites, though our wire-based telephone system survived mostly intact. Some of the corporations brought with us are attempting to rebuild their former networks. Also, we are thinking about sending a mission to explore the Moon, and see if it has changed at all.

Dear sirs and madams

We have begun to launch the components to our first asteroid colony, nickamed "Liberty Bell 7", early this week. Space station 1 has been in orbit for the past week or so, (secret launch). We did not want the reichskommissairt kaukaus to target the space station for destruction. Furthermore, we will be launching the first of our space fleet, with the HMRISS (His majesty's Royal Indian Starship) Elizabeth, and the HMRISS Montgomory. These two ships are of the "battleship" class of starships, and will be powered by quad fusion reactors, and have the newest design of ion drives for use in the inner and outer solar system. They will carry fifteen of our B-70 atmospheric bombers/space interceptors. The weapons systems will be comprised of nuclear warheads mounted onto missile systems, and pulse lasers for ship to ship combat. These starships will be completed soon, and we look forward to the trials of both vessels. Our first asteroid colony will be placed at LaGrange point 1, in near earth orbit, but, just far away so that if anything happens, we won't have to worry about it impacting the earth.

The Southern Republic of America has announced that it has sent a vessel to the Moon. All examinations seem to show that the Moon has been unchanged from the Moon of our world, which is understandable, though our plaque which declared us the second nation to set foot on that body and the Flag of those who made it first are both non existant, though this is also understandable. The SRA plans to establish a research facility on the Moon, for our own purposes. We warn the nations of Earth not to interfere.

The MarineColonel floted by the window of the out post, looking at erath. He typed out his status report on his PADP. His two other Mod-crewmates were asleep at teh time.

Status report: Confederation Marine Guard Corps / Astral Guard *Top Secret*

All stations posts secure. The science and living moduals were added to the Alpha orbital out post, bringing the total up to four moduals. The OO Alpha is, to our knowladge, unaware of our presence. The six defensive postions in orbit were sopposed to be topsecret, un know to anyone not in the direct chain of command Also, The Southren Republic of America launched a spacecraft. Defensive positions III and IV moniterd its position carefully, but the craft posed no threat. Also up here are UPI space ships and an assembiling facility. From what we can tell, there are others up here, however we have not been able to confirm their origins. We also have a carefull eye on them too, ready to defend the Confederation.

I recomend lanching four more defensive positions. The troops could also use a little training with the shuttles as well.
