My fellow delegates, representatives from foreign lands, and observers from distant lands, I welcome you to the great city of Calcutta, and to the official opening of the Pan-Eurasian Confrence. Let me be the first to tell you, it has been an honor being in correspondance with your great nations. My nation feels honored to be holding this great confrence, and we feel privledged to be in such a world, where we were extended the hand of friendship, so soon after our arrival.
Many years ago, in this great city, a man named Mahatma Gandi spoke of non-violent overthrow of government, only two years later, when the japanese army entered the capital of Calcutta, he was killed. My great nation suffered a great loss, and we mourned for many years afterwards. But, we pulled through, and created the country that you see today. Who knows what may have happened if gandi had not been killed that day in black 42'?
As I stand before you, I feel great honor being able to speak to you. Many of our nations lost so much in the process of coming here. Some, lost almost their entire nation, others, only a small fraction. But, no matter what you lost in the jump here... your loss will not be in vain! We must come together, as one Asia, as one europe, as one Africa, as one America, as one world, and help to re-build our shattered nations, to help each other, in founding alliances, to help each other out during times of need.
Ladies and gentleman, I come from a world, not of violence, but of a world of peace. Some nations, continued to press the hand of others, by use of violence. We learned to deal with that, and furthermore, we learned how to be accepting of each other. I hope by the end of this confrence... that we may learn to be more accepting of each other, and of ourselves. Because... it isn't the technology that we have, or the armies that we may have. It is the spirit of the people that really means something. The spirit to drive forth, and create a better world. That is the true power of nations, at least, in my belief.
As I stand before you today, this confrence originally started out as just a confrence for the Pan-Eurasian countries. But, nations from all over the world sit here, From Great Britain, to the Commonwealth, from the United States of America, to Qing China, from all over the world, you have come to witness the beginnings of a new world. And let me tell you, a brave new world, this one will be.
I officially do declare... this Confrence, of the Pan-Eurasian summit, officially opened. I leave the podium open to anyone who wishes to address the summit. Thank you.
