June 7, 2014- Today, seventy years ago, our great nation's capital of Calcutta, was liberated from the yoke of the tyranical opression of the Imperial Japanese Army. Prime Minister Finney is making a speach in Calcutta to extend his appreciation to all vetrans of the last great war of the century... In other news, the space launch facility outside Calcutta is on track for an early 2015 opening. The European Union has promised to send the United Provinces over one hundred billion dollars in compensation for spending the money to build this new facility, in other news...

June 8, 2014- Yesterday... at around 7:30 PM Standard time, a great disturbance befell our nation.... some sort of subspace disturbance has taken our great nation, and dropped her in some unknown world... filled with what we can tell, differnet nations have also been dropped here, we are attempting to make contact with a few of them, but to no avail. We have lost contact with the Hindu Kush region, we do not know why. Prime Minister Finney made a speach earlier asking for the nation to stay firm and solid during this great time of crisis. He stated "We will stand firm and solid... in the tradition of our founders, and our elders, we will pull through. No matter the cost... untill then, I ask that the nation please be patient, for this could take quite some time. We are sending a reconnisaince flight over the Hindu Kush to see what happened to the cities of Hyderabad, Islamabad, and our military bases, we will discover what has happened.

June 9, 2014- The date stated before is a formality, in all real knowledge, we have no idea what DAY, none the less, what year it is. The reconnaisance flights over the Hindu Kush have returned with pictures of what appears to be settlements of unknown origin. They don't appear to be very technologically advanced. As far as we can tell, the cities of Islamabad, Hyderbad, and the bases of New Trafalger, Mountain Reconnaisance One, and the base of the beloved First Mountain Division have disappeared off the face of the earth. As far as we can tell, none of our troops stationed in the outer Kush areas are there anymore.

June 10, 2014- High level reconnaisance flights over Europe have come back with many starteling photographs. It appears that...that... oh jesus, the Third Reich is located in Germany. The reconnaisance flight took high level pictures, and came back with pictures of the Reichstag being in tact... the swastika was spotted on some vehicles, and troops were goose stepping through the capital of Berlin. However, it appears that great Britain is in tact, other than scotland. It appears that scotland and ireland have become semi-militaristic states, with scotland's border with England being lined with barbed wire, and machine guns. We have no idea of what could be awaiting us in North America. Our reconnaisance flight will take off from calcutta later on today to get us that information. In other news, the British Military that was stationed here have pledged to stay in the United Provinces and protect India, for they have no home to go back to, the prime minister asked for all citizens to come together in this time of need, and together we will forge a path to a "bright and new tomorrow..."

June 11, 2014- Our reconaisance flight over the North American Continent has come back with starteling photographs. It appears that the United States has been divided into many different sub-nations. From what we can tell, they are co-existing peacefully, and without conflict. Also, in other news, a small recon detatchment made its way into Southern India today, and discovered a nation, not much bigger than the former colony of bangladesh, sitting there on the coast. It appears to be around the technology level of England when she began colonizing new London. We will not interfear with any of their day to day matters, instead, we will contact them, and try to set up peace negotiations. In other news...

To Be Updated later today...

The start date is August 1st 2004. Technology can be up to ten to twenty years ahead of that date but all Mosaic Earth's nations come from the same day, month and year, just from different timelines.

Also I think the "Scottish Empire" ended up fading away and England, Scotland and Wales are all from OTL.

I do apologize to the readers. Sorry, you can bump the date down to 2004, and turn that into August 1,2,3, 4, and 5. Anyways... let's get on with the show, eh?

August 6, 2004- Late today, the Prime Minister made a speach, outlining his plans for India in this, so called "Mosaic Earth". He began his speach by asking the nation to "reach their hands out in friendship, in the hope that if we attempt to bring other nations into the technological fold, then perhaps, we can one day, bring back the world that we left, even if in some small way..." He went on to say that "The nations of Asia, here and now, are whole heartedly invited to visit the great city of Calcutta, and establish any forms of diplomatic ties with the United Provinces." He went onto to further state that "The United Provinces will complete work on the Space Launch facility outside Calcutta, and any nation which has the ability for space travel, is more than welcome than to use our facilities, that is, with prior knowledge... *chuckles heard in the crowd*..." He further went on to state that he was "greatly saddened to recieve the news that our brothers in the province of Burma did not come with us on this great journey... but that we would forever honor their memory by pressing forward in our quest to better the nation of India, and the rest of the world..." In other news...

August 7, 2004- In a starteling turn of events earlier on today, the prime minister met with a representitive from the Empire of Japan, and spoke with him about setting up diplomatic ties with them, and even opening an embassy in Tokyo. But he stated in a short address today that "Ladies and gentleman, these are not the same Japanese that we left in our world... they maybe the same country, but they are different. Please, we need to extend our hands out in friendship, and not close our minds to any new ideas, or differences..." In other news, the population of Calcutta is set to spike up ten percent over the next fifteen years, from 11.5 million, to around 12.5 million by the year 2019.

August 8, 2004- In his speech today, the Prime Minister has outlined his plan for this summit which he proposed two days ago. "We need to set a path for the eurasian sphere, where it is going, and how it is going to get there..." Some of the highlights of the summit as he outiled them are going to be "Trade routes into eastern europe, the building of an asian rail line to link the nations of Asia, mutural defense treaties, and the possibility of reaching out to nations in Africa, Europe, and the Americas to hold a world summit here in Calcutta." The populous of calcutta seemed more than willing than to except this summit, some even seemed happy that the Prime Minister would propose such a summit. More news on this... but first... a fire in New Dehli destroys one city block... more on that, when the Nightly News returns...

August 9, 2004- Sixty years ago today, the British fourth Army under Montgomery crushed the Japanese regiment at new Dehli, parades and an air show are planned for cities all over the United Provinces, stretching from early this morning, untill late tonight, all are encouraged to attend. In an address to the Government late this morning, the Prime Minister stated that today has been declared a national holiday. Any visiting foreign dignitaries are encouraged to attend the parades, and join in the celebrations. Now, on to more important news, recent flights over Great Britain have shown that it is indeed, a different great britain than the one that we left. It is around ten years behind the United Provinces in the area of technology, and medicine.

August 10, 2004- In an address to the Parliment today, the Prime Minister gave the Parliment a "Blank Cheque" to come up with new public works projects all over the United Provinces, to begin preparations for the asian diplomats. The parliment has already voted on improvements to the Port, and Airports of Calcutta, New Dehli, and the beginnings of re-settling the Hindu Kush. Further voting will continue tomorrow, and stretching well into the next few weeks, improvements that have been placed on the table number from re-building the Sri Lanka Causway connecting the Mainland to Sri Lanka, but that vote is considered to fail, due to the existance of the small civilization down on Sri lanka, and on the southern tip of India. Other levie's to be considered are the construction of a new airport, and perhaps, even a spaceport in New Dehli to match the Space Launch facility outside Calcutta. The Parliment has yet to speak of these new projects.
