What if Aaron Burr became president in 1800?

I was just checking older postings. I was surprised this got no further comment. My limited knowlege is that Burr was seen as unprincipled and opportunists- which is why when it came down to it Federalists decided Jefferson was the lesser evil.

Also there was that duel- which from another account on this site sounds a lot like murder

There was a story in ALTERNATE PRESIDENTS or other books in which Burr Does exaxtly that. I'll try and check to confirm this.I understand Burr wants to expand the US GREATLY.
