In the name of the people of the United States of America, and the government of President Franklin Pierce, we are more than happy to open diplomatic relations with our friends in Sweden. We are also open to negotiations as to the sale of arms for the defense of the Kingdom of Sweden.
Secret communique for the king's eyes only:
The situation in the South-West is getting more heated by the month, and the United States State Department wishes to open negotiations with you as to an alliance against Mexico, with territorial reimbursements for the signing of this alliance upon the successful conclusion of the war with Mexico. We wish to annex the northern 1/3 of the nation, and perhaps into Sonora and Chihuahua should the opportunity present itself. We are willing to negotiate the territorial acquisitions of the provinces of Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and El Salvador for the Kingdom of Sweden for their material, economic, and emotional support of the United States during the war with Mexico.
Although it is against the policy of the United States as set down by President Monroe to allow foreign colonial powers into the western hemisphere, in this situation, I am willing to abandon the Monroe Doctorine in this case in the name of the continuing prosperity of the United States, and the Kingdom of Sweden. Please contact us as soon as possible with your response.
Most Sincerely,
Franklin Pierce
President
United States of America

We will be willing to support the United States for a small territorial concession in the occupied lands and heavy military equipment (Cannons). We can supply an expeditionary force at your conveniance.

My Dear King,
Your conditions are accepted. You have the gratitude of the people of the United States of America, and we will be contacting you shortly with word of the expeditionary forces deployment to the front lines. We have also recieved word of the possible situation evolving between your kingdom, and the Kingdom of Denmark. Though the United States does not usually stick its nose into European politics, we are willing to send you aid should the need arise. Again, thank you for your support.
