Since the point of the TL was Russia winning the Crimean War?
Not now.
You could try invading, but I think that would be a bad idea.

Austria and the Papal States do not own all of that territory anymore. Modena, Parma, Tuscany, and the Legations (all of the Papal States minus the area directly around Rome) were conquered by Piedmont-Sardinia. They are currently called the United Provinces of Central Italy, pending full assimilation into Piedmont-Sardinia. They are already controlled by Piedmont-Sardinia, but due to French interests Cavour has not yet been able to completely claim them. This is rectified in the Spring of this year with the ceding of Savoy and Nice to France in exchange for no French retaliations against Piedmont-Sardinia claiming the UPCI.
So, basically, they are semi-independent right now (technically but not formally owned by Piedmont), but will be formally combined with Piedmont-Sardinia to form the Kingdom of Italy shortly. ;)

Before we start parceling out land from my nation, could I see the timeline please? Not trying to be a pushy person or anything, I just want to see the TL, at least so I could use the events to work towards my national TL.

Uhh... Well.. most history books say that Piedmont-Sardinia controlled most of Italy by 1859...
Following elections during 1859 and 1860, all northern states (of the Italian peninsula), except Venetia, which was still part of Austria, joined the Kingdom of Sardinia. Napoleon's growing concern with respect to the sudden (large) size of his neighbor was resolved in part by the cessation of the Sardinian provinces of Savoy, near the Alps, and Nice, on the Mediterranean coast to France in 1860 . After 1860, the only French presence on the Italian peninsula was in the city of Rome, where French troops remained at the request of the pope.
The ONLY Italian land in Austrian possession by 1860 is Venetia. Rome is still ruled by the Pope and protected by the French. The Two Sicilies is being torn apart-- Garibaldi conquers Sicily in 1860 and Naples soon after, then transfers the Two Sicilies to Victor Emmanuel in 1861 and marches on Umbria and Marches with him to unite all of Italy under one king. Now, this latter part hasn't happened, but that's the state that Italy is in right now. Piedmont-Sardinia controls the northern and central parts of Italy, the Pope has two small counties around Rome, and Garibaldi is on the verge of conquering the South, while Austria maintains Venice and France now controls Savoy and Nice.

Alright, thanks for that bit of info. I don't know much about Central Europe in this period of time outside of Prussian history, so bear with me on this one please?

Rameiro, there is another topic to lay claims. ;) It's in this forum; you can claim Portugal there. This is just for the map.
Speaking of the map, is anyone else having trouble with the link? The map refuses to load for me.
