Lead up to 1855.
1850: The Royal Court declares that it will be going a tour of the empire visiting all of the lands of the empire.
1851: While visiting travelling along the Polish border the royal train is ambushed by upwards of 500 men who slaughter all and steal the royal jewels. The only heir to the throne is the 8 year-old son of the Archduke, he ascends to the throne with a regent his long time teacher Adolf Guntenburg. In the south the ruling family of Lombardy-Venetia and Illyria marry their heirs togetehr to great a dual duchy under Austrian Rule.
1852: The Empire is in turmoil with The Hungarian Court demanding independance and freedom from Austrian Rule. Both the Hungarians and the Dual Duchy to the south bribe Adolf with large sums of money to suggest a splitting of teh empire into three independant states of Austria major, Lombardy-Illyria and Greater Hungary. The regent greedy as he is begins to convince the Emperor this is the only choice.
1853: The Emperor decides to split the Empire along the three lines with the states being in a permanent triple alliance promising military support as well as economic if the Austrian throne ever calls. It is decided the state is to be split thus:

1853: A Congress is held in Vienna with the leading dukes and nobles presented before the emperor himself. He declares thus
"That the Austrian Empire will be split into the states decided on last year with the two kingdoms owing a duty to the Emperor to come to his call if he ever goes to war and helping in the defence of each country. The Kingship of Lombardy- Illyria will be Josip Jelačić the loyal general who fought for the empire in 1848 who is also the husband of Roberta Francesco the daughter of the current Duke of Lombardy-Venetia. The Kingship of Hungary will be given to my second cousin Alfred Hapsburg current client King of Hungary he will be given a truly autonomous state. The dsitribution of the army and navy will be thus. As Lombardy-Illyria will be the only state with a coast it will retain the navy such as it is because of this it will be given the smallest part of the army which amount to a quarter of the total force. The Kingdom of Hungary will be given a third of the standing army and Austria will retain a majority of the army amounting to 5/12ths. The new capitals will be Venice for the Lombardy - Illyrian State and Budapest will be the capital of Hungary and Vienna will remain the capital here in Austria."
The state is split in that year with the Kings signing the agreement and going back to their lands.
1854: Their are riots in some parts of Bohemia which are crushed by the Austrian Emperor and in southern Coroatia which are also crushed ruthlessly. Hungary stats peaceful with the people seemingly happy.
