Limited rationing, mainly of luxury items, has begun and will continue for the forseeable future.
There has been some rioting, but damage and casualties have been surprisingly light so far; the common opinion is that most people are in too much shock to get up to much mischief.
All citizens are strongly urged not to venture more than a mile or two away from the coasts of New Hebrides territory.
The media blackout of the first 72 hours has been lifted; normal television programming has been suspended for the most part; 24 hour news updates and reruns of old shows are pretty much all that's on right now.
As the government and leading scientists available see no chance in the immediate future of returning home, the Imperial Provinces of New Hebrides, Kalimantan, and Java have been reconfigured as the Republic of New Hebrides.
First Representative Miranda Mulawi of Williamston Prefecture has been chosen as an interim leader of the new government; she has retained her title of First Representative.
Imperial military forces on hand have been merged under the joint command of Admiral Nathan Takeshi (senior Navy officer), and Major-General Hikaru Kasewari (senior Army officer).
Deputy Defense Minister Eric Soames has announced his dissatisfaction with the Mulawi government; he is currently in the jungles of Kalimantan, trying to locate the Duke of Okinawa, an Imperial Nephew who was on Kalimantan on a hunting expedition when the Event occured. Soames hopes to set up a 'legitimate' government, with Okinawa as a figurehead, but with Soames holding the real power.

as of Mid-Aug.
Military: All warshipshave been recalled to their proper ports, unless they are on local patrols. All aircraft are still operational. Land units are on high alert, as well as the Lieboats. Word of the Dislocation was traveled down to the Admirals, Generals, COmmordores, and Air martial's of Islands. They have informed those they have demmed neccecary.
Civil: All the citizenry have been informed that an 'occurance' has left the Nation seperated from the rest of the world. Citizens in the Peripheial districts may not have recived the infornmation. The only citizens that know the whole truth are the merchant mariner Commdor's and Captains.
Government: Governor Ryes has called a massive confrence in Palikir for all of the Lieutenent Governors, Viceroys, and Mayors to explain the details of the 'dislocation'.
Economic: Because most of the Confederation's economy is centered around trade, transportation, and the space industry, it is slowly decying. Hopefully we can find some trade in this new world.

In the interest of preserving the naval security of Australia, several stations have been established along the Western Coast in order to provide an easier route to the Commonwealth of Australia. The Dominion of Australia would also like to inform that Port Moresby, Daru, and Pikepeakport are fully functioning ports of call. It should be stated, however, the previous edict on the Dominion's sphere of protection is still in effect of those islands to the North.

Septembre 7th -Brisbane Australia mid morning
Major Robert Zumo III, Captain of the SanDeigo stood on the Bridge and watched as the Airship floated over the City. It had been a Busy 60 hrs. He had been floating over Siberia, transmitting pictures of Villages and Animals, to the University back in San Diego, when the orders for Australia, had come.
There was a return trip to Japan to buy some Liquid Hydrogen to top off his fuel tanks. Supposedly the Ship carried enuff Hydrogen to sail around the World, Twice. But as Captain He didn't believe in chances, so He had arranged to top off his tanks, before leaving Japan.
Them there had been the necessity of Staying out of New Hebrides Territory, not that he was worried. After all this was a War ship, but why take Chances when not necessary.
Then while Floating just south of Guam, He had again turned on the Cameras to relay a pod of Sperm Whales. It had been hard to count but the estimate was 4-5,000 in the one pod. The University had thought they were headed south to Antarctica for the Season. Evidently there had been a similar sighting of Blue whales off the coast of Baja.
Then while Floating over New Guiana, He again turned on the Cameras to transmit pictures of a untouched Rain Forest. So now here he was Floating over down town Brisbane on his way to land at the airport. He could see people running out of Buildings and pointing up. He Kind of Hoped the Airport was too small, so he could land on the beach, like the AS Vera Cruz had done in Hesperia. Oh well at least his men would get a chance at the beach while the diplomats chattered.

So are you going to offer any significant resistance to this occupation?
There will probally be a lot of resistance from the various gangs in the area (those that aren't already out being bandits in your territory and the other one bordering it).
I don't see why you'd want it though, its pretty useless.
The is a formal announcement reguarding the restoration of order in post nuclear Australia. Commonwealth forces are advancing and encountering a mixture sporadic heavy resistance from small groups of savages and warm welcomes form the more civilised inhabitants. Consider the costal areas occupied.

Perhaps this arrangement could work;
The CSSI would have similar duties of protecting and maintaining the Island of Manus and all islands in a 2 km diameter. In turn, the Dominion would hold similiar duties over the New Guinea Island and those islands in a 3 km diameter with the exception of your sphere. In total, both countries would have dual duties over their territories with each country having the same right to dock, gain goods, and other things within their territories.
Having this arragement on paper would be agreeable. Perhaps you could draft the Treaty and both of us could sign in in Brisbane.

Somewhere in the jungles of central Kalimantan...
Eric Soames stroked his sleek mustache and tried to keep the disgust off his face as he watched Duke Iwara of Okinawa belch contentedly and finish off another roast pheasant, his third in the last hour. Iwara was, in Soames' opinion, a disgusting, sordid example of the degeneracy he was fighting against. If only I could get rid of the fat oaf... But for the moment, that was impossible. For many of Soames' troops, the only thing holding them was their loyalty to Iwara, the only known representative of the Imperial Family to have been transported to this strange world.
"So, Minister Soames... any word on when this Mulawi woman will be surrendering New Dover to us?" Iwara belched again and wiped greasy hands on his silk shirt.
Soames clenched his teeth so hard that he heard enamel grinding together. "It's not quite that simple, Your Majesty. Most of the population appears to be following Mulawi like sheep. And with all due respect, your exhortation to the men to 'sink all traitorous vessels' is not helping matters any."
Iwara looked at the Soames with his piggy eyes. "I'd use a little more respectful tone when addressing me, Minister."
The sound of growling turbines overhead drowned out any rash reply Soames might have made. "Sounds like our new friends are here!" Iwara shouted, and heaved his bulk off the couch he'd been reclining on. As fast as he could, he waddled towards the door. Soames followed.
With any luck, these sky predators can talk some common sense into the fat idiot... He wasn't sure if it was just wishful thinking; he himself had his doubts about the intelligence of making common cause with these raiders from North America, with their airships and odd little planes...

The occupation was going well thought Major Mark Collins. His small force of 4 Centurions and 560 infantry had met little resistance. The few clashes they had engaged in invariably lead to the demise of the local nomads, after all a motor bike might be fast but not sufficiently so to avoid the wall of 12.7mm, 7.62mm and 5.56mm ammunition that flew in their direction. But this situation was different, the locals here were much more civilised and had been organised enough to build a large fortress or castle of some kind. Also unlike the few villages encoutered earlier this one wasn't peacefully accepting the occupation and appeared to have the force to delay progress. The Major considered his options: Obliterate the castle with the Tanks 105mm main guns; to besiege it or to take it by storm. The major however didn't get to decide as one of the locals armed with some antique bolt action rifle took aim and fired...

He should have taken option Four, just go around it and on to the next area. If they are organized, eventually they would have come around, as the areas around them were brought under control.
If there was no pre-planning for option four, then High Command is at fault.

I would suggest that the launching of your observation post in space could be launched at Mount Georgie, Northern Territories. Although it does not possess such details as your launching station, it does have the altitude and open space that could afford the launching of a post. Also; upon the matter of the Manuity, I would highly suggest that they would be monitored for violent activity due to Australian Naval Facilities on that Island (as the Treaty signed a few days ago)

Thank you for your concern over the issue of the Manuity. Much of this cult is unknown, except for the basics. We are investigating all possible resons as to why this is happening, although your navy being a reason never crossed our minds.

The rattle of bullets broke the night silence. This awoke Flight Officer Brad Cyn with a start. He ran to his window and looked out to see a small light fading into the black ocean. He threw on a uniform jacket and ran out to see what the commotion had been. As he approached the military piers, a young corporal ran up to him.
"Sir, sir" the corporal snapped a salute, and it was returned, "The Australian ship was invaded."
"Any casualties? What happened Corporal?" Cyn asked
"There were no casualties Flight Officer." The Captain of the ship approached. "It appears that someone's boat snuck up along side ours, and boarded. Our watches never noticed." The Captain answered for the corporal.
"What did they do, sir?" Cyn questioned
"They robbed our arms locker. Took anything that could be moved easily."
"I see, Ill alert the South Sea brass, and request more personnel. For now, I'll get triple security as well. My deepest apologies sir."
"Do not worry about it Flight Officer, at least no one was hurt."
Cyn looked over the ocean wondering what was to happen now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This morning was like every other one. The sun rose in the east, and at 0800, the Confederation banner was raised, the anthem played, and all personnel went to chow. Yet to Private Eon, this morning felt different.
Private Eon watched a large civil yacht sail into the pier. He didn’t recognize the ensign, then again, after the relocation, no one would have. After it had docked, a crewman came of the vessel, and approached the Private.
"Sir, you will have to register your craft with the naval office right down the…" His words were cut short by the feeling of something being thrust into his back.
"Private, you will escort me to the base commanders office immediately, or I will pull this trigger" The crewman whispered through clenched teeth.
"Yes sir, right this way." The private hoped some one would notice, but no one did.
Once in the base HQ, the crewman shoved Private Eon away, and barged into the CO's office
"What is the meaning of this?" Flight officer Cyn asked
"You are going to give us this island Mr." The Crewman paused for a moment, "Cyn. Give it to us."
"Like hell I will." Cyn stood up, eye to eye with the crewman.
"That’s where you will end up if you do not follow the will of Al-Manu. Sit down and shut up Mr. Cyn. Ten millennia ago, Al-Manu created all that you see. One day he descended to here, this very spot, and created man. Unfortunately Man thought he could create more wondrous things than Al-Manu, so he left the paradise that was created for him. As he left these shores, Al-Manu promised that his faithful may return, and spend eternity with him, and all evil would perish.
"Heathens occupied this most holy land until this relocation. We were going to live here peacefully, but then YOU Jesus-Following heathens had to come in and occupy this sacred island. However, Al-Manu has called me, High Priest Dabv, to lead an army of Manuiti to reclaim this land for him. Now remove yourselves from this place, or we will surely do it for you."
"Mr. Dabv," Cyn was quite enraged at this point, "how dare you blasphemy against the almighty God, and His Son. I will sure not remove my men for some idol worshiping, pagan scum. You remove yourself from MY office now, or we will most surely do it for you."
"As I see it, that is not an option Mr. Cyn." Dabv pulled out a revolver and aimed it towards Cyn's chest; "Put me in contact with your government, now!"

The four ships were plowing thru the ocean at 15 knots. The HMAS Melbourne led the way followed by the Ro-Ro Ferry Able Tasman carrying 1000 infantry, 4 transport helicopters, 2 helicopter gunships and 15 Dingo AFVs and escorted by the frigates HMAS Hunter and Yarra. These vessels were the lead of the commonwealth of Australia's detatchment to the New Hebrides in support of the opperation against insurgents.
Capt. John Thompson surveyed the scene, he had been appointed the commander of this detatchment for the time being, realizing that since the event he had carried much of the responsibility of the commonwealth's external affairs. He thought about the other members of the multi national forces involved in this campaign and wondered how to break to his men the news that one of their allies would be an imperial Japan much like the pre ww2 version from his reality, he then realized it would actually be more difficult to break the fact to the imperial japanese that there was a captured ww2 Japanese light cruiser sitting in Adelaide harbour!

The nations of Oceania, and the nations of the world, my name is R. Nabv, and I am the high priest of the Manuiti, and prophet for Al-Manu. Many Millennia ago, Al-Manu created all that is seen, and he crated man from the elements of the Manus Island. Al-Manu promised this island to his faithful. Now, the heathens have left it, or so we thought. The Confederation has denied our requests to the holy land, and we see this as an infringement of our freedom to worship.
We would like your help in removing the Confederation form this holy site, and help over throwing this evil, oppressive power from its seat.

Please ignore any transmissions from this High Priest. He is the head of a religious cult. We have not oppressed them in anyway. We do not recognize their practices, but we do not interfere with them practicing them. We will deal with this Manuiti terrorist and secessionist act in due course.
To the nation of Australia; we apologize fir the Manuiti invading your ship, and we assure you that it will not happen again. We will repay any damages that may have incurred. The Manus port will still remain open. All other Confederation ports are open for use as well, security is guaranteed more in these mainland ports.
To Mr. Nabv, and the Manuiti, we are not amused at all by your acts off terror and treason. I assure you, that you will be punished for them. After your numerous acts of terror, we have given you (I'm surprised that we did) an area of the island for the Manuiti to live and worship on. That’s something most 'evil, oppressive powers' don’t do. However, it appears that you want the entire island. You will not get that. If your terrorist acts continue, we will use force against you.

After some consulting with the Royal Geographical Society in Brisbane, I have discovered that Manus Island is within the declared and recognised area that the Dominion has sovereignty over. Although a treaty was signed on giving your nation power over this small island chain, the approximate location of it being near one of our ports and claimed territory strikes a chord. When the Manuti are ...dealt with, I ask for further deliberations on the legal ramifications on declaring islands surrounding the claimed (and recognized) lands of New Guinea. With that said, Task Force Evi has been...reduced in size with some of it's contingents landed on the Northern Guinean Coastline with much of it's duties concentrated on aerial and naval blockade of the island.

Capt. John Thompson surveyed the scene, only a matter of days back he had been leading a task force engaged in the reduction of Manus Island. Now his ship HMAS Melbourne had joined the taskforce escorting HMAS Canberra. He looked astern, the damaged frigate HMAS Swan was under tow by his cruiser.
Mere hours back the frigate had reported a suspected contact with a submarine and shortly there after had been damaged by a near miss from a torpedo, evidently with some kind of proximity fuse. The torpedo had exploded astern of the frigate, destroying the ship's rudder and one of its propellers and causing limited flooding, had the torpedo been much closer the frigate could have been sunk. After the submarine's attack HMAS Swan had responded with its 21in homing torpedos. One of these hit yet some how the submarine survived, but forced by damage to the surface. This was when the Melbourne had played its part; Capt. John Thompson's ship was approaching HMAS Swan to take her under tow and had opened fire with her 6in guns the moment the submarine surfaced. The first volly struck its mark and the submarine desintegrated. Despite a prolonged search there were no survivors from the submarine. Shortly afterwards his ship had been detatched to tow HMAS Swan into the nearest safe port.

His complete lack of activity has forced me to dthis my self, I have also taken the oppertunity to mark the major highways and two lesser cities (marked with numbers)

Governor General Nathan Ryes walked into a small wood paneled room in the Capitol Complex of the Confederation. This was the Room of the Governors, where himself, the Cheif of Defence, Grand Admiral Cyn, and the Nine Governors. All the seats were occupied, except for the seat held by the Governor of the Kiribati Nation. Figuring that he must be ill, he continued, makeing a note to send him the minutes of the meeting.
"Ladies and Gentelmen, It has been three months scince we arrived here to this 'mosaic earth'. We have made friends here. But we have just come by a close call, a situation were we almost went to war..."
*Palikir Airport*
Governor Pau'Y ran through the terminals of the Airport. He was late for a meeting. He was all of 18, the youngest Governor in the Confederation's history. He was getting lost quickly. Palikir was, as some called it, a big buliding, 95% city. It had the Higest population density in the old world. Througout the COnfederation, personal trasportation was disourages, as there was far one could go in a car, howeve motor cycles were popular, as they were esy to transport. He Saw the Train Station that had the Maglev liking the Airport to the Government Complex. He dashed in, just before it left. They ride was about thrity seconds long, and he was poured out onto the main campus of the complex. The Room he had to be in was twenty stories above him. He dased to the elevater, and what seemed like an eternity later, he arrive at the floor and room. He sat down and herd Ryes conclude his speech.
"... becuase of our assets in space, we need to put these five outposts up there, to protect us. The weponry will be the standered MK 60-s guns (4), two 6-in rail guns and one EMP emmiter. This proposal would usually go through the Senate, but the Military has demmed this Top Secret, and the Senators do not posess the clearnce to vote on this. Thus the Cheifs of State and Military are the ONLY non-related personel to know about this. Do the COnstituatn nations approve?

The 3rd Brigade of the Light Horse was rapidly readying itself for deployment to the Caucuses and to face an unknown enemy.
Major Mark Collins was leading the Governer General on a review of the troops when it hit him; the 25 Cuirassier MBTs and 35 Dingos of the unit lined up on the Parade ground would in meer days be in battle and possibly quite a few of them reduced to burnt out wrecks their crews dead or captured... given what was known about the Nazi scum they would encounter it seemed quite likely that death would be prefrable to capture.
The limited intelligence the Major had seen indicated that the "Reich" (as it was being refered to as) depended on large, ponderous and probably slow heavy tanks; hardly suitable for the Blitzkreig which the germans had been famous for but probably quite resistant to hits with regular AP shells from anything less than the 105mm of Cuirassier Mk Is...

Whe currently have a Troop Ship in Cental America, It is Designed to Carry up to 5.000 Men & Equipment. Whe will be happy to Lend this to You, to carry the whole complememt at once. If You Agree It should arrive in about 50 Hours.
The cargo deck of the airship was quite a different experiance to deployment Major Mark Collins had been on before; more spacious than the cramped cargo planes used in rapid deployments but at the same time more cramped and without the rolling that marked deployment via ship.
The entire forces armor and vechials had been loaded onto the airship while most of the infantry had been dispatched by ex-civilian airliner.
The airship was now mere hours away from reaching the foward staging area under the control of the United Provinces of India...
They had arrived, Major Collins marched down the ramp in full parade uniform complete with sabre and slouch hat with an emu feather plume; formal introductions and a parade followed...
The fomalities over the buisness of unloading began; it proved to be suprisingly quick, the armor and trucks just rolled down the main ramp out of the airship and away to the barracks alloted to the Australian force...
