The Federated Guyanan Republic and the Republic of Columbia have decided to merge into the Federated Republic of Columbia & Guyana-> the Republic for short.

It also claims Panama and Nicarauga under the idea of "too close to home"

The Dominion of Chile & Argentina is currently negotiating ties with it's neighbors. Rationing of food supplies are underway as well as nationalizing the intake of agricultural products. The leaders of the gov't are currently looking for anyone to establish a viable trade for foodstuffs.

The intercom on the ornate Grigorian desk buzzed and Fiona Dalton-Kennedy lant forward and answered it.

"Yes?"

"The Director of Communications is here ma'am" her secretary said.

"Send him in" the Australian Foreign Minister replied.

The office door opened and a tall man, his dark features showing native ancestry, entered.

"Alright Edward, what's gone wrong now?" Fiona asked rubbing the bridge of her nose.

"Nothing really" he said as he sat down, "We've just recieved another message from a country asking to establish diplomatic relations"

Fiona said nothing. She'd soon learned that trying to guess the origin of any of Mosaic Earth's nations was next to impossible.

"It's from the Dominion of Australia" Edward said passing her a sheet of paper.

The mention of her country's own name got Fiona's complete attention.

"So where is this Dominion of Australia?" she asked.

The director grinned slightly, "The same place it's always been. Oceania."

The Foreign Secretary gave her subordinate her best "I'm really not in the mood" look.

"The transmission comes from Lemuria, specifically Lusitania" Edward clarified naming the South Pacific island continent and the Iberian nation that was most associated with it.

"I am never going to get used to these strange names everyone else seems to have for the continents" Fiona said in an exasperated tone.

Apart from the military forces mentioned in the listing there are the following security agencies:

Federal Intelligence Agency = SIS/CIA, only works overseas.

Federal Security Agency = Security Service/FBI.

Federal Law Enforcement Agency = FBI criminal investigation branches.

Federal Police Service = Uniformed branch of FLEA. Operates in areas too remote or where it's too uneconomic for a local police force.

Electronic Communications Monitoring Agency = GCHQ/NSA.

Federal Force = Gendarmerie/Civil Guard. Includes anti-terrorist Special Response Force = GSG-9/GIGN.

I really should try and work some of this stuff out shouldn't I.

By a strange and convinient coincidence the borders of Australia are exactly the same as those of the ISOT. Equally oddly the English language is almost identical to OTL despite a POD almost 3000 years ago, (though there are some changes such as Aero Force instead of Air Force).

Go figure.

Australia is very "British", a bit like Canada, Australia or New Zealand on steriods. In the DoA's (easier than writing Australia every time) ATL there's nothing like the USA, so cultural and social queues are taken from the "Mother Country", the Kingdom of Britannia. By 2004 all the countries than formed the Britannic Empire have come together in a Britannic Union, a kind of cross between the Commonwealth, the EU and a federal British Empire. The Kingdom of Britannia is "first among equals" in this arrangement as all have roughly the same form of government (similar to OTL but with a senate rather than two houses of parliment) and economy (at least for the larger countries).

Cities are roughly in the same places are in OTL Brazil though they are like first world European cities than OTL South American cities. Avalon, the capital, is situated where Rio is in OTL and is more like London or New York in terms of size and style than Canberra or Washington.

In the wake of the European and North American international conferences should we be holding a South American one? The North Americans are already staking claims to areas of Latin America and are discussing plans to devide up the Caribbean, areas that are as much in our sphere of influence as theirs.

I propose Amazonia to be the site for the South American Conference. If anyone has objections to the idea, I am sure we can diplomaticly iron them out.

"Don't understand the Orders , but we're ready." " Well, Neither do I, So lets just wait for our escort, hopefully we'll be landing in Bogota, Shortly. Then it will be time for the Diplomats to go to work."

Jorgensen & Danilo where tiring to make sense of the Communication they had received from Columbia. The Captain had ordered the Helm to head to Bogota, while He and the Minister had retired to his ready room.

The Federated Republics of Columbia and Guyana welcomes the Mexican diplomat to it's soil.

For Goodness sake Santa Marta is all the way north on the Caribbean coast. What, they want us to fly all the way over their Country, and try to land this Monster on some pier. They have to be Crazy.

The Australian government has dispatched the RAN Guided Missile Cruiser HMAS Nike and two AA destroyers and two AS frigates to the British Isles on a fact finding mission.

(Basically the DoA government want to see what the Hell is there and if it's anything like the Kingdom of Britannia from the Dominion's Earth)
