Image Question

I want to post I map I made for the Mosiac Earth Thread. The meeage I got said the map was too big (in terms of kilobytes). Is there any way to make it smaller?

How big is the image on the screen ? If its bigger than the screen, then you might as well use the image editor's resize feature to halve it etc. If its already only at screen size you may want to resave it as a gif and see if that is smaller in terms of kilobytes
