Government: Military dictatorship technically under the control of the Papal States.
Military:
Army
300,000 from a combination local recruits and European volunteers.

Traditionally provided by France, some naval vessels were ISOTed in various ports.
Air Force
About five hundred fighters, 57 bombers.
Note: The military is very defensively orientated, and the border is entrenched on the border for the evitable second conflict with Islam.

History:
After the Second Crusade decided that the county of Edessa was too difficult to retake the crusaders instead decided that the best course of action would be to combine all the various kingdoms together for mutual defense. This policy worked so well that the Arabs were never able retake the Crusader States, although near constant warfare with the Arabs led to the CS being very militaristic.

The long term Catholic occupation of the holy places also brought many settlers from Catholic Europe. No Protestant Reformation in this ATL. This became increasingly common during the industrialization of Europe and the Middle East and the population explosion that followed. Although a good portion of the population was still Muslim. Future crusades also drove Muslims out of North Africa and Islam never penetrated south.

All was good until the Great War of 1907 when Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic branches of Christianity reunited under the Roman branch and launched a crusade to drive all Islam out of existence. By this point Islam had taken full control of India, Southeast Asia, and Indonesia. This inevitably futile effort lead to the deaths of millions of Muslims who refused to convert and the expulsion of all Muslims from the Crusader States (mostly Catholic due to conversion and the numerous settlers driving out the locals). After ten long years of fighting a peace treaty lead to Catholic control of Syria and the surrender of Anatolia to the Byzantine Republic.

From this point Catholic obsession with destroying the Muslim Empire led to a fantastic rate of technological development (the Great War was fought with mid-19th century tech), finally supported by the Pope and tested in wars between Catholic states.

Today the Crusader States are largely reliant on religious tourism and weapons manufacturing (making a large surplus) and a have deep hatred for all things Muslim. Jews are largely living in Islamic areas or have peaceably converted to Christianity.

History : The Federation of Persa was founded over 160 years ago when the Kingdom Of Persa was overthown by the people of Persa revolted against the King . The Kingdom of Persa covered the area of the Med East runnng from Egypt to India . The Kingdom convered to Christianty in the 7th century under Saint Husain who convered on a trip to Eygpt .
The Federation of Persa was in a cold war with the Russian Kigndom .The Federation has fought many minor wars with the Russiaons ovet the last 400 years . They also have fought in the 3rdWW as part of the Federation of Aillied nations .
The Federation of Persa was a Major Power in there old world as of now they have lost over 60% of there land and population .

The Ottoman Empire
Capital: Constantinople (Post Change, Mecca)
Population:18,000,000
Leader: The Caliph Mehmed
Government: Absolute Monarchy-Police State (Perhaps the only state to which Islamofascism could apply).
History: Ottoman neutrality in The Great War ensured an Entente victory by 1917, and let the Empire abolish the capitulations. Germany, shorn of Poland, the Saar, became a highly nationalist state in the 1920’s while Russia became a dictatorship with the Tsar as a figurehead.

The Ottoman Empire soon followed suit, and as the Empire gained access to oil revenues, it became increasingly militant. During the Second Great War, it joined Britain, and France against Russia, Germany, Italy. Gaining control of Libya and The Caucasus after the war, it soon dominated the world’s oil supply in a way that made OPEC look like free traders.

Since then, in a highly nationalist police state which refers to the glorious Islamic heritage, the Empire has embarked on an a nationalist quest to reunite Dar Al-Islam.

Military: The Ottoman Empire is a nuclear power, and would readily use nukes against nations which threaten Muslims. It’s military is approximately 200,000 strong, but Arabia only has 40,000 men.

Technology: The shorter World Wars have slowed tech, so Arabia is at a level equivalent to 1984. Extensive oil drilling infrastructure, of course.

The Federation of Persa has never heared of the Islam religion for it never was formed on there world . The teroitory that they owned would be that of almost that of the empire of Alexander the Great . India in there old world was owned by the French Emp. The Federation speaks a form of Persion-Greek that has evolved over the last 2000 years . French is the language of the internation comuntery as English is on earth to day . Subs were outlawed in there world in 1921 by the Treaty of Lyon .

Name: Southturk Territory (League of Nations Trust Territory administered by the Austrian Empire)

Capital: Alexandretta (Austrian capital: Vienna)

Population: Unknown, much of land dominated by ruins and small groups of people living a very primitive life, only real modern area is area around city of Alexandretta.

Leader: The territory has no self-government. Austrian Emperor: Franz II, his second son Maximilian was visiting the city at the time of the Event.

Military: One large naval ship, several League of Nations peacekeeping forces.

History: A different set of events led to no "Austria-Hungary", and a very strict Islamic Ottoman Empire. However, tensions in Europe were still strong, and they exploded when the Ottoman Caliph's son was shot by a Christian group who wanted an end to Islamic law. The angry caliph blamed the "Infidels of Europe", and launched a full-scale invasion. Europe fought back, and in what has been considered a tradgedy of modern war, the Ottoman Empire was not just defeated: it was destroyed. In the worst event of total war ever known, the Ottoman infastructure was wiped out, cities were burned, the countryside salted, leaving a few survivors in a destroyed wasteland. It's ancient city of Constatinople, where the Caliph had locked himself in, never surrendering, was destroyed by the first Atom Bomb. The territory of the former Ottoman Empire was divided into several "Trust Territories" by the League of Nations, each one being put under control of the victors. Austria has attempted to bring the area back into modern civilization, but due to massive internal problems from it's large empire, has only really been able to control the city of Alexandretta. Most of the former empire is still ruled by anarchy, with technology levels around that of the dark ages. However, Alexandretta has been made a modern city, with tech levels around that of OTL, and military a bit lower.
