I played a full game of Civ4's Earth-1000AD modded scenario, which begins (as the name suggests) in 1000 AD with the major powers of that time.

This is what resulted. I thought that the map was (mostly) plausible enough to clean up and post here.

There are some odd coincidences with OTL, e.g. French and German colony locations, as well as some things that sound like they're out of one of
Thermo's timelines (Spanish Kazakhstan? Russian Panama?! The Incan Congo?!! ;) ).
Note also Indian California (possibly Flocc's work) and Japanese South Africa and Phillippines (definitely NOT Flocc's work :D ).

While on the topic of Civ IV: Is the expansion worth it?

Not really, the most thrilling part is that you build the great wall, and an actual wall appears on your current cultureal borders. It stays in that positionall game, and so it seems more realistic. :D Also, generals now appear depedning on how much fighting u do and they can either make a "stackable-barracks" type thing with +2 exp for units, or work like a Civ3 general and giving the unit it join TONS of exp.

I dont think those make it worth the 20-30 dollars tho :p
