In OTL the Postwar government won a small Parliamentary majority in 1950. Prime Minister Atlee felt he had to call a fresh election in October 1951.
The Conservatives won the 1951 election (although Labour won more votes)
Labour could easily have won another 20 seats, giving them a comfortable working majority.
What would have happened? How much would Attlee have got rid of rationing and controls?
If it were obvious that there would not be another election for 4-5 years would Churchill have resigned?
How effective would, presumably, Eden, be as leader of the Opposition.
Would Attlee have planned to 'go on and on' as Labour leader.
