If every human from newborn to oldie got really drunk and stayed drunk, how long would humans remain on top of the food chain?

Drunk enough to stand up or ride a bike but not sober enough to speak “good”, make concrete decisions, perform proper hand and eye coordination, score 300 on an SAT, unable to control those fun loving mood swings

I give it one year and the roaches will inherit the earth

Following is about Winston Churchill:

There is always some alcohol in his bloodstream," William Manchester once observed, "and it reaches its peak late in the evening after he has had two or three Scotches, several glasses of Champagne, at least two brandies, and a highball." He was rarely drunk, however. "All I can say," Churchill famously remarked, "is that I have taken more out of alcohol than it has taken out of me."]

And Hitler was a teetotaling vegetarian. ;)

well, it would take longer than a year.... 6 billion people take a lot of killing off... of course, if the leaders of the nuclear nation are buzzed all the time too, the world could be nuked to oblivion in far less than a year....
